So who are the female jockeys at tracks you play, and how many are there? It would be great if everyone would list at tracks you follow. I want to put in my virtual stable
Oaklawn had 5 last year, hope to see more this year. Seems like they are always adding more.
So watch out for Kelsi Harr, Chel-c Bailey, Lindsey Hebert, Kylee Jordan, and Mickaelle Michel who ride at Oaklawn, or did last year and years before. Hoping to see some new faces this year?.
--In 2022, Harr became the first female jockey in Oaklawn history to earn more than $1 million at that meet, surpassing Cindy Murphy's record.
---Michel is one that Lukas uses as lot, she has ridden in 12 different countries and has brought in many longhots for me.
---Jordan was leading rider at Prairie Meadows before coming to Oaklawn, as you may remember she won on Tyler's Tribe in the BC Juvie Turf Sprint.
--- Chel-c Bailey was a college wrestler and an MMA fighter before she became a jockey
--- Kylee Jordan daughter of trainerTodd Jordan she topped the 2022 rider standings at Prairie Meadows with 81 wins and $2,087,351 in purses

Love the female jockeys named so far, but I was hoping to narrow it down to female jockeys at EACH U.S. track.
I wanted to do a "utlization" kind of comparison. And percentages at each. I play Australia and I will say there are quite a huge number of female jockeys at each track there.

I kinda don't mind giving my wagering dollar support to tracks that encourage females in the sport. In whatever capacity. Because: 1) I am a female 2) I've spent 25 years in this sport which was pretty much a good ol boys club for most of that time----which may also be why there are fewer female handicappers on most of the sites I've been on in almost 3 decades 3) I love the female paddock analysts like Jennie in the Paddock (jenny chapman at HKJC) who was doing that way before anyone in the U.S. was 4) I consider diversity in racing to be a good thing --- race callers, jockeys, paddock analysts, etc. should be more equally represented as there is nothing that says males are better at any of this......YET, there is still a dearth of females in many aspects of this sport. I think Jenna Antonnuci brought this point home somewhat as well....."we are out here" meaning there are plenty of very capable female trainers, but owners are not sending to them. (WHY?) So that is WHY I wanted to do it by track. If a track has a very low % of female jockeys, analysts, race callers, trainers, etc. then I will probably spend my wagering dollars elsewhere. Probably why I play Hong Kong and Australia a lot although it never occurred to me it was specifically because of that but because I just enjoyed those venues and then I also realized it was because there is a balance of genders in their sport. I am always trying to encourage and recruit more women into getting involved in the sport, and I think "perception" can hinder that, if a sport is seen as one that is not ultimately friendly to them. It's also a "PR thing", perception is everything. And.... Cuz I can spend my money how I wish. So right now Oaklawn, HKJC, Australia and many over the pond venues offer this aspect for me. I don't know or play every track in the U.S.......so that is why I was asking those of you who do play certain venues to give me a count.

At Woodbine one night many moons ago. A group of us had a chance to speak to Mark Casse and Melanie Pinto. Pinto was so awesome and had so much character and personality that by the end we had Casse convinced to give her a chance. Pinto rides at Fort Erie so nothing really came of it but Casse kept his word and used her at Woodbine once or twice. When betting Fort Erie I wouldn't hesitate using a horse Pinto rides. She's a very good jock.

Thank you for the insight on Pinto. I also love Woodvine and Fort Erie, so this will come in handy.
