If the tentative field for this race stays intact, and there is every reason to believe that's the case for most of them, this will be the race of the year (or ANY year) in Europe, and perhaps anywhere else. Going is currently GOOD SOFT. Field would have the following- 3yo Epsom (GI) and Irish Derby (GI) winner ( Auguste Rodin) 3yo Epsom Derby (GI) 2nd, King Edward VII (GII) winner ( King Of Steel) 2022 Coronation Cup (GI) winner ( Hukum) 2023 Coronation Cup (GI) winner ( Emily Upjohn) 2022 Epsom Derby (GI) winner (Desert Crown)2022 King George VI (GI) winner ( Pyledriver) 2023 Tatersalls Gold Cup (GI) winner ( Luxembourg) 2023 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (GI) winner, 2022 Irish Derby (GI) winner ( Westover) plus- Deauville Legend, Simca Mille, Adelaide River, Hamish, Point Lonsdale, Bolshoi Ballet, Broome.www.racingpost.com/news/britain/who-will-win-the-2023-king-george-based-on-previous-trends-abHGP3F74KN2www.racingpost.com/news/britain/2023-king-george-assessing-the-top-contenders-for-the-big-group-1-at-ascot-on-saturday-a2ILJ5z6jl34Saturday July 29ASC R5- 1m4f (1m3f211y) King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (Class 1) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/2/ascot/2023-07-29/842205TW

Thanks for the reminder. This looks like a killer tough field. Not sure I have the wherewithall and time to properly cap it. It took me about 3 days looking over the melbourne cup last year to come up with a trifecta, for instance. Winner here? Oy ve.
