Unnamed Filly for Stonestreet (Image taken from Instagram ) Worked with Before You Go Go yesterday at Saratoga (clocked by Pletcher 48.03) time on the NYRA website for the 4F shows 48.45 (fastest of the day) Story on this one from TDN on May 28th: The next filly set to begin her racing career is an unnamed 2-year-old by Medaglia d'Oro who just arrived in Pletcher's barn at Saratoga a few weeks ago. “She's doing great,” Pletcher reported. “So far everything is straightforward. She's very professional, like this whole family has been.” According to Pletcher, while his team is still getting acquainted with the juvenile, if all goes smoothly he could anticipate a debut in Saratoga later this summer. Brennan said that he believes this juvenile might come out swinging a bit earlier than her older sisters. “The 2-year-old is a little more precocious than the others,” he shared. “She's maybe not quite as big as Julia Shining, with more of Medaglia d'Oro in her. She's very, very smooth.

Hopefully this one runs better than Pletcher's Gun Runner colt, Memphis, who seemed very unprepared to run first race and who I was looking forward to seeing in maiden. I understand sometimes it's just about getting *racing experience* ---but this one needs some gate work to contend. 2nd to last in a field of 10 at BEL. Maybe keep an eye on Memphis in case hiding odds next out (i.e. running on dirt instead of turf). But surface change will not solve what looked like gate problems. And lasixed first out. (Gun Runner colt, already lasixed, from my perspective, doesn't make me happy).

Looked at the first 5 generations of the unamed, unraced Filly just for fun. Bred to race (30 black type winners in 5 generations made that kinda obvious). Can probably can run on multiple surfaces. Maybe up to 9F.....but probably win-early precocious type since they seem to be working her to her natural tilt to speed side of pedigree. Will be interesting to see how she turns out.
