Michelle, I don't know if you've seen this video...but good from time to time (as in your video) that we are reminded of struggles, and perseverance. (and achievement through adversity)

(and achievement through adversity) I also think it is great that the judges see that and although they may not win the competition that they give them a wonderful moment .......

I really enjoyed watching the French Open on the red clay. No Chris Everett. Until the trophy presentation.

I really enjoyed watching the French Open on the red clay. No Chris Everett. Until the trophy presentation. Spanky, I was up at the Seattle Tennis Club when they installed their clay courts.(years ago) The red clay is Basalt.....underneath is a drainage system of gravel, sand, pvc piping covered by the clay. They can drain excessive moisture from the top, or add moisture from the bottom. The lines are actually nailed down white strips. (all you would ever want to know about clay courts lol )

The Seattle Tennis Club? Thanks for the info on the red/clay courts! I have to wonder though why Nadal won the French so many times. I think he won it 14 times. Other than the fact he is one of the tennis players of all time ever on any court!
