My thoughts on this Saturday race, BETFRED DERBY (GROUP 1) (BRITISH CHAMPIONS SERIES) not worth much, as race looks to be wide open. I like 5 horses and 1 uber-duber bomber. Will make some exactas with these. -- Dante was run the fastest ever this year, so seems like White Birch would be a good bet. I like horses who make up a lot of ground in the stretch after very poor breaks. --- If Kingscote gives a better ride on Passenger ( and he pretty much has to after the terrible ride he gave in last) he could run ITM. Trainer kept Kingscote on so let's give another chance here........I can't ignore a supplemented horse with Stoute. --- Taking a chance that San Antonio CAN actually stay (I like Dubawi and Galileo) instead of their Auguste Rodin....because huge odds! and Auguste's bad form at Doncaster. ---I love Osin Murphy so will give The Foxes a shot. (horse is too gorgeous and he won't lose ground this time). ---For the Frankel offspring, I think Military Order is the one and the deserving favorite. Longhot uber bomber : My Dear Friend. I have no valid logical reason for this one, other than just a hunch.

I can't warm up to this race card, so I will only play the 2nd and call it an early morning. Had a profitable day Friday----going in on #4 AUGUSTE RODIN strong win and a tri key with #2 ARREST(no way I don't save with Frankie on top) and #9 PASSENGER over 2-4-9 over all...expecting a big improvement from #4(obviously)......
good luck!

The longshot I like is Artistic Star but it seems I’m not the only one as the unbeaten Galileo colt has gone from 40-1 to 22-1 today .

GOING: Good-to-firm EPS R1 (7:50am ET)- 1m½f (1m113y) Diomed Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2023-06-03/839634Shooting for the moon in the first race of the day. I think Highland Avenue can be beaten, especially at this distance which is shorter than his best, and wouldn't think of taking 6-5 on him. I'll box Imperial Fighter, Marie's Diamond, and Regal Reality in exactas. EXBOX- 3,4,5 EPS R2 (8:30am ET)- 1m4f (1m4f6y) Derby (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (No Geldings) (Class 1) (3yo)www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2023-06-03/800632Fairly wide-open for a Derby. I'll use #2- Arrest (6-1) with Frankie despite the wide draw in PP13, he always has something up his sleeve and the son of Frankel fits on form. #6- Dubai Mile (15-1) finished a head in front of Arrest over heavy ground going 10F in France last fall, offering hope that he can see out this trip. Debuted this season in the 2000 Guineas, and he ran a decent fifth without threatening for the win. Using one Classic to prep for another? EX- 2,6/2,3,4,6,9,12,14 EPS R3 (9:10am ET)- 1m½f (1m113y) Princess Elizabeth Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies & Mares) (Class 1) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2023-06-03/839635I'd really like Astral Beau if this were softer ground, but it's closer to firm. #4- Prosperous Voyage (9-5) wants good ground, and a repeat of her Guineas effort, or her win in the Falmouth S. (GI), would likely take this down. Frankie would love to win this for his good friend Marc Chan. EX- 4/2,3,5 EPS R4 (9:45am ET)- 5f 3YO "Dash" Handicap (Class 3) (3yo) (0-90)www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2023-06-03/839640Real headscratcher. #13- Estate (8-1) has improved through his three starts this year, steps up in class but has the profile to do this. Oisin Murphy rides for Andrew Balding. EX- 13/3,5,7 EPS R5 (10:20am ET)- 5f "Dash" Handicap (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2023-06-03/839636And I thought the last race was inscrutable. #3- Clarendon House (7-1) makes the most sense to me, for sprint guru Robert Cowell. Ran well at York against better on seasonal debut, should move him forward to a big effort today. Way down in the weights I found another Cowell sprinter #15- Angle Land (10-1) with Hayley Turner aboard carrying only 115lbs. 4yo filly has improved through last three starts. Picks up 4lbs for win over Lihou in last, but gets good ground again. These are the races where you can make a score if you're right. EX- 3,15/1,3,13,14,15,17 EPS R6 (10:55am ET)- 1m2f (1m2f17y) Lester Piggott Handicap (Class 2) (3yo) (0-100)
www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2023-06-03/839639The progressive #2- Torito (6-1) just has to prove he can handle faster ground for the Gosdens, was second behind Derby entrant Artistic Star in a novice race at Sandown last time. #9- Fox Journey (4-1) made 3yo debut at Newmarket, stomping a field of nine over good ground and looking like he'll have a say in stakes company down the road. EX- 2,9/2,6,7,9 EPS R7 (11:30am ET)- 1m4f (1m4f6y) Northern Dancer Handicap (Class 2) (4yo+) (0-105)www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2023-06-03/839637#2- Caius Chorister (4-1) has speed, likes the course, gets Ryan Moore up. #5- Scampi (5-2) looked good winning at York last out, right back where he had a C&D win last term. EX- 2,5/2,3,4,5,7 EPS R8 (12:05pm ET)- 6f (6f3y) JRA Tokyo Trophy Handicap (Class 2) (4yo+) (0-105)www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2023-06-03/839638TW

Thanx bev---I had some very accurate info from over there that will cost me a nice dinner @ the BC this fall. When I noticed how sweaty and worked up they were(esp Frankie's #2), I dumped my savers and went in strong each way on #4--grip it and rip it approach + 4-1!? with Dettori's fave washed out.....
Feel good about a few @ CD today though wondering about the Matt Winn being moved to Ellis---not knowing whether it will be @ 8 or 9 furlongs---can't do 1 1/16 there? + I don't want to drive to Ellis Park.

Props and good luck with Bo. Auguste Rodin looks eerily similar to grandsire Sunday Silence.
