All great choices Hoop but just curios as to why. Do you walk on a treadmill? I drink and cook with almond milk. May I suggest you go to Nuts.com (if you have not already). It is a site that will blow your mind. Let me know what you think.

Went to an outdoor wedding last July, 90+ degrees. Suit was tight, sweating like Baffert on a lie detector. Gotta change things up. Elliptical in basement for weather days, outdoor walking mainly. Afraid to type nuts.com into a google search.

I have an elliptical trainer at home and it is a great workout. Also walk outside a ton, with and without dog. Also a big believe in light weight work with dumbbells.

I lost my resolve during the pandemic. Got into a few bad eating habits. A few years ago I had just started making changes you noted above and brought my cholesterol down, guess it is time to start anew. I also found leaving off condiments and little shortcuts like not using ketchup or mayo saves some excess calories. The meat part will be easy, since I don't eat dairy or "meat" at all since I had rocky mountain spotted tick disease and got the Alpha Gal from the same tick, so any mammalian will put me into anaphalaxis. Be careful out there everybody, ticks are no joke.

One thing I urge people to "try".....those nice little Korean seaweed snacks, they are in walmart and most grocery stores. Instead of chips. Zero sugar, zero carbs, zero fat......and on a hot day the sea salt is very reviviing......also you are getting high doses of Vit B12 (50% of daily requirement) plus Iodine, which our diets are usually short of.
They are paper thin wafers, almost see thru, and have a crunch, the sea salt you crave on a hot day when sweating. I was amazed how much I ended up liking these. Often flavoried with Wasabi or Soy sauce but I get mine plain. About 5 paper thin wafers that really hit the spot when you are craving chips.
Sometimes I add to my soup.
-------
Also of note, had a little scare with some diverticulosis (not -itis) this year so I've been careful to up my fiber. While I don't eat bagels and such, I gotta make an exception for the Mission Carb Balance Wraps. You are getting 54% of your total fiber for the day, just using one of these. That's higher than any of those high fiber cereals, and if you don't get your fiber for the day, this is a good way to get it, if not using Metamucil or someting.. Some of us have to be careful with seeds and nuts and corn........as they have a tendency to lodge into those diverticula folds in the colon and by a certain age, most people have some of those diverticula bulges and/or pockets. The newest literature is that nuts and seeds aren't off the table as they used to be, but I prefer to exercise some caution anyway.
