I don't give picks ahead of time for undercard, as I watch the post parades and then put my wagers together. So I have to redboard my almost $3K win just now.
COMPLETED:e84ae-14189 CD #7 $0.50 Trifecta 1, 3, WT, 4, 11, WT, 2, 9 none $4.00
$2,884.59 + $2,880.59
I just stacked a 0.50 trifecta and lucked out i guess. But the workouts and past races told the story and I took a chance on Rivelli's 38-1 horse.
Needless to say I really don't need Derby bankroll at this point.
THis happens to me every year though. I lose the Derby, and then make bank on the undercard races.

You gotta beat the CRW teams and robots and rearrange the parimutuel pool's horses sometimes in order to make money. It's a big risk
the favorite was the #4 Rosario on a Clemente horse. #11 was the 2nd favorite. So I moved those two into 2nd place on my ticket.
I dunno why nobody used the #2 who ran 3rd.....top level euro sprinter last year, but Killer good Caravel beat in last at KEEN so everyone got off Ward's Go Bears Go. I can't think of any other reason.
I always admit to a huge dollop of :luck: though.......a little handicapping too ........but you can't pull these off 8 out of 10 times. And that is why I only waged $0.50.
But once in a while those super cheap wagers do pay off. At oaklawn they sure do.
