I’ve always had some love for this guy. Out of new top sire Good Magic (who was a fave of mine), he looked like he was on the way to the Derby trail last year after running a strong 86 Beyer at Ellis Park and then winning the Iroquois over Derby entrant Jaces Road. The BC Juvenile might have been too much too soon especially against Forte and Cave Rock. His nice 2nd in the Kentucky JC against the quality Instant Coffee ended his 2 year old campaign. He was put back on the trail this year, running in the Risen Star and Louisiana Derby against two of the top choices in the Derby. Although he had an excuse in one, he didn’t fare well. His connections wisely skipped the Derby to cut him back in distance to a mile. He had a nice 4f blowout on April 14 and is a horse for the course with 2 wins and a second in 3 Churchill starts. In addition Amoss is a high % trainer clicking at 26% and 23% with Morales up.
All I can say is that he better run good after you guys wasted your time reading this long winded write up.😂
Good Luck Steve
