Looks like you could take up smoking with all those ashtrays at your disposal. Put some gloves in the box, too. TW

Thanks Jim , I ordered it . Have driven it around the farm several times today and itβs moving good so far but definitely needs work on the brakes before I venture much farther π±

my one and only car was a 69 buick skylark deluxe...bought for 200 dollars two days b4 i started law school (those books were HEAVY)...put 200 into it for muffler etc on a road trip and sold for 200 2 days after graduation to a first year. almost NEVER drove it in the rain (practically no brakes) and had to open up the choke constantly. the back was like a flintstones car but the guy i sold it to swore he wouldn't let his kids fall thru the holes in the floor.
ps-i guess the electric thingie evens out the carbon footprint of this guy

I had 1957 Olds 98. To keep it in the tradition of the 1950s hang a pair fuzzy dice on the rearview mirror.

And as long as you own it you have to watch "American Graffiti' at least once every year. Dell would have made a great Wolfman Jack.

Not the same thing at all, and not nearly as cool, but I bought a used 1979 Delta 88 which lasted me a long time and which I drove from Michigan to Southern California when I moved out there in 1986. It was a very comfortable car for long hours on the road.

This is of little consequence. Just a side note to the song Hooper found - Rocker88. While it shows the band was called the Delta Cates in was actually a St Louis band - Ike Turner's band. Ike was 19 that that time - 5 years before hooking up with Tina. "Rocket 88" (originally stylized as Rocket "88") is a song that was first recorded in Memphis, Tennessee, in March 1951. The recording was credited to "Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats", who were actually Ike Turner and his Kings of Rhythm. The single reached number one on the Billboard R&B chart. Brenston was a saxophone player with Ike's dand. Many music writers acknowledge its importance in the development of rock and roll music, with several considering it to be the first rock and roll record.[4] In 2017, the Mississippi Blues Trail dedicated its 200th marker to "Rocket 88" as an influential record.[5] The song was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1991,[6] the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998,[7] and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.[8] Lyrics for Rocket 88 by Ike Turner www.songfacts.com βΊ lyrics βΊ rocket-88 The song was written by Ike Turner and recorded by him with his band, the Kings of Rhythm.
