Impressive win by Elite Power there in the spirit. The swift fractions helped but Frankie barely had to do anything but hang on there! Glad to see Gunite complete the exacta as with the Americans dominating the international sprint scene again, all is right again in the world.

The play in the big race would be to go against Bob Baffert's horses. My inclination is 1 and 4, both overlays.

Why not #9- Scotland Yard (16-1)? PP4, not sure what he's beaten but he's 3-for-3 here, all by open lengths. He beat Great Scot by almost 4 lengths, and that one's no bum. Price play.

That was some run by Panthalasa . Thought he would cone back to the field but he just kept on going. Country Grammer looked well beat coming into the straight yet he almost won it !
