Some flashy pedigrees on display in this 7F heat. Hooper mentioned #1- Dance Club previously, the last foal from Storm Flag Flying. She had trouble in her debut, but ran on late. Stretches out to a better distance and looks very live here, Rail draw at 7F could be a problem with a poor break again.
I really like the #4- Graceful Princess, the third foal from HOY Havre de Grace. Tapit filly debuts at the right distance. Trainer Nicks has been ice cold, but the August works for this filly are outstanding, so long duck!
The Godolphin filly #6- Fancy That looks well prepared, Kiaran is having a great meet, Bravo gets the call. Price could hold.

It does indeed look like a nice one.I can't believe I'm saying this but Contessa's Dovey Lovey is where I landed.Last year I wouldn't bet one of his at the Spa with Chinese money. This year is a whole different story.Speaking of ducks.I was just going to post on that.I might as well hijack your thread.lol Spa2 The Duck Hunter Stakes MSW 2yo 5.5f T
Trainers on the duck.Some have a nice shot here.Nicks' looks like a good one. Trainer win%year @thespa Avg.odds@Spa Schettino 11.6 12/001 26.35 Sciacca 8.1 34/021 28.98 Pugh 8.2 1/000 17.20 Nicks 16.4 15/020 14.23 Figgins 17.2 1/000 5.40 Pugh and Figgins only have had one runner so It's not fair to through them in,but they have a shot with their charges here.
There go those lines again

I’d be surprised if Dance Club doesn’t win a stakes race at Belmont this fall. Hooper

I passed on Dance Club. 6-horse race and had trouble at the start but still was last after half mile. Between that point and the wire her position improved by 2 lengths - but she was still 8 lengths behind the winner and 3 behind the place horse. It makes me think that most or some of the improved position was the result on tiring horse. Of course, I could be wrong.
If I was looking for a big long shot I think I'd take a shot with Introspection who ran fairly evenly in her first effort. . Since I don't need a big longshot I won't have to rely on Lynch to move the horse up 5 lenths in her second effort.
Tony Dutrow is not the same Tony Dutrow he was a few years ago or I'd be all over Style And Grace at 6/1.

Seven furlongs from the chute is often bad news for the inside horse, in a big field. Haven’t seen a head-on replay of the break yet. The main track is acting like it’s “cuppy”, speed is tiring but closers aren’t gaining much. I liked Graceful Princess as much as any horse I’ve picked this meet. Tough to go with an 0-15 barn, but everything about that horse said “go.” Dance Club Graceful Princess Style and Grace

Thanks for the photos TW. Those fillies will have nice careers on the track and/or the shed. Hooper

Don’t you just love picking 10-1 ML horses that pay $5.90 in the contest? Hooper

The winner of the sixth was named after John Hardoon (above, in ball cap, with trainer Jeremiah Englehart). He is the guy that runs the Ragozin Sheets daily discussion at Saratoga, in the clubhouse before the races. Colleen and DocSpa are regulars. Al Gold of Gold Square Racing is another regular, and Hardoon’s friend. He waited until he had another good 2yo, and named it after his friend. We watched the race standing next to them. Two grown men jumping up and down, hollering and high-fiving. Good stuff! And yes, the word was out on that one. Cohen just hand-rode the winner.
