Check out the ride on the #7 in the fourth race at Gulfstream Park today. I am sure we have not heard the last of this.

Two jockey's named Maragh in the race and two trainers named Maragh in the race. Got to be related to Rajiv. Hooper
MUSICAL HEART reserved racing wide and unasked while trailing field in early stages, began to move up closer racing wide still unasked in the turn, entered top stretch eight wide and continued to gain without being persevered with.

He looked like he reached for the whip late in the lane and forgot he was supposed to sandbag it. Horse wins with even a vigorous hand ride. Pathetic. If I had $$$ on that horse to win I would be PISSED............

Jockey probably screwed up by even finishing second... looked to me like he was told to stay off the board, but couldn't!

This is slightly off topic, but I happened to notice that you and I are nearly tied in the PH standings....(in the cellar, lol) and I was wondering if you wanted to have a friendly challenge or wager on who would finish higher by the end of the contest? If so, let me know. Best wishes, Scott aka triguy237

Looks like the Maragh boys will make some more headlines as Romero just booted this 48-1 shot home in the Spa finale.

I was about to say the same thing. Only thing I could see was that they moved up in class for no apparent reason. Huh?

Agree with you, hooper. I went 6 deep in the pick 4 in this leg and did not find my way to him.

Here's the same horse in his previous race on 4/22. He's the 6/5 favorite and #6 in the program. This is 100% effort from Maragh.

The stewards should be interviewing the owner and trainer as well as the jockey. It is blindingly obvious that the jockey was instructed not to win this race at all costs. Apparently there was a similar situation at Assiniboia Downs a few weeks back. Maybe the Macs can elaborate on that incident. In that case the jockey voluntarily gave up his licence to ride in Manitoba and is now plying his trade in Louisiana !

That AsD race wouldn't have looked so bad if the pace hadn't been so slow. Guessing Singh was under orders not to try to duel the barn's big filly and to try to close, but he had to strangle harder due to the pedestrian pace. Amaretto is too slow to stay with any of those. The top 2 were going to finish that way regardless of how the race was run.
Amaretto and Escape Clause dueled in a match race (non-wagering) a few days ago at AsD and it didn't go well for Amaretto.

Here is the much deserved fallout from the Paulick Report today but of course there is no way to make it right for the player:
Gulfstream Park stewards Wednesday suspended jockey Tony Maragh the maximum allowed through Florida statutes – 60 days and $1,000 fine – for not persevering on his mount Musical Heart in Sunday's fourth race.
Gulfstream Park General Manager Bill Badgett said the track is further reviewing the race through an internal investigation. Musical Heart finished second, beaten only a head by Richest Gifts.
Maragh said during a hearing Wednesday that he was unable to persevere with Musical Heart because he felt weak and thought he might fall off his mount
Trainer Aubrey Maragh was trespassed administratively by Gulfstream Park officials Wednesday and will not be allowed on track grounds pending an internal investigation into Sunday's fourth race.

Doesn't feel punative enough. Was hoping for 5 years and figured they'd negotiate it down to 2-2 1/2.
Obv questions... Did he immediately dismount and ask for outride/ambulance help?
Can the track physician verify he sought immediate medical attention?
