Repole said Castellano will likely not ride for him for the near future.
“You get to run in this race one time in your life, you would expect to follow directions,” Repole said. “He chose an audible, that doesn’t sit well with me. It’ll be awhile before you see Javier in the blue and orange silks.” I guess he wanted his horse on the front end....
Javier said he couldn't get there with his horse!
Interesting...

The fact that Gary West is also complaining is more interesting to me as he has always come across as a pretty reasonable measured, guy.

Couldn't get there? (48.11 for the half, 1:13.21 for three quarters and 1:38.09 for the mile) Really?

Windbaggery, thy name is Repole. Sour grapes reminding me of Chrome's owners. Best horse won, both times.

What is Repole referring to? Javier? He’s ridden in the race more than once. And will continue to.
Would like to think Javier was protecting the horse.
Also, would love to see Pletcher dump Repole. I know, I know...

"The Conversation".....this video shows a three second clip 2:16-2:19(then we lose sight of them)...where you can see Geroux and Castellano side by side in the rear way back having a conversation...que pasa ? (sticking with the theme of the tape)....a little odd ?......usually see this after the race, not to common when the race is still running......grassy knoll, area 51 stuff just saying, a little odd. (if you check the head on replay...shows them conversing for more then 10 seconds riding their mounts to the finish) (the head on also shows Geroux looking at only one other horse traveling down the backstrtch......yep Castellanos mount)

If they wanted to full something funny in this race even they would be smart enough to arrange it well before the horses went to the paddock. And if it was a spur-or-the-moment design, again, they should be shot enough not to work it out in front of 10,000,000 people. They could easily chat with each other with out looting at each other while who's going to finish 7th and who's going to finish 8th. This doesn't mean they didn't do it either way but if they did it before the race there was no need to chat while running at the back of the pack, and would seem to be too late when they're running way back there. Why would one of the top 5 rides want to "pull something funny off in one of the biggest races in the worlds with one of the top 10 or 12 ridders in North American?
The odds of that happening are probably about 99.5 to one. I can't say in's 100% because we have seen, and still see, the saga of Pete Rose.
