How'bout it players???
How are you feeling going to the finals? Maybe you could provide "quotable quotes" for those of us following along at home. Strategies? Hopes and dreams? Something.
This is a Grade I handicapping event. Are you prepared? Are you nervous? Are you... READY TO RUMBLE??? Howyadoin'?

Well, I like the idea of playing at the same table with so many a fine handicapper who got a bit lucky to be in the contest in the first place ....a lot of selections in the races ,of all contestants , had poor quality trips and it could easily have turned out a total group of other members would be at the final table....lol...so racing luck plays a huge part....doing ones home work ends up in many a losing day in dollars ...and other times just picking no's has been a boon...lol...but selecting the top jocks, trainers, owners is generally a product of the home work that will bring home the bacon...but I find trainers and owners who have not brought home the bacon for owners for a while certainly need watching Esspec. in the graded contests etc...I am up right now to see if after mid night the race program is up for Tampa bay as I cannot find a way to get my hours of snoring in...lol...I am looking forward to the contest and like the fact that our host has selected a great day of stakes races for the final ...and the manner of counting the points...or is it dollars ....on place bets...great...!!! ..and all the contests here are of excellent quality...etc...good luck to all ...and the format also asks all contestants to trust each other not to find some way to cheat ...lol..that makes this site , indeed , an fellow UpInClass member to be happy and glad about....etc...lol...

.....oh, and I am am also wondering if the other contest members ,at the final table ,are not really the same person with many split personalities ....lol..( that may be because of the thoughts of these fine mentioned members seem to have the same , similar view points on so many subjects etc ) ...lol...

Bourbon War, what a finish, way to go Cherokeescot, best of luck in Dubai.
I live in Maryland and handicap the old fashion way, pen and paper. Being 72 years old and not smart enough to use a program to handicap, I can only blame myself for the non winners. I will be at Laurel Park on 3/16 playing in the handicapping tournament. I was lucky to win a tournament years ago and qualified for the World Series of Handicapping in Vegas. I got my butt handed to me real quick.
Some years back a group of guys including Gene (Italianstallion) a menmber of upinclass, and I owned a few horses that ran in the Maryland circuit. What a thrill just watching a horse run that we owned.
Good luck to the final table handicappers and take it easy on me.
Ron (Pedalcar)

Yes, I've always wondered this as well...especially the split personalities part and the similar view points on so many subjects part...Bev, Bpiets...have to be the same person...even the names start with the same letter!

Cruzan2002 8/5,proven G1 winner C&D,takes some beating Phlierfreak 2/1,will keep pressure on top pick,in top form. PedalCar 5/2,Consistent sort, must respect. bpiets 7/2,been working well at GP,known to surprise CherokeeScott 4/1,has the goods, must keep his mind on the task, may be looking elsewhere. IndyPacer 5/1,will be gunning early, may catch them napping. DoctorDisaster 20/1,hopelessly overmatched, needs a train wreck to win.

Thank you " Doc "...." I " is going for the gusto....lol...hit and miss....in an orderly fashion...from lowest dollar count to highest race and play to keep " me " on edge....lol.. ....and just may select the horses I really think will be the ones to beat...which I did not select in the contest....I think there will be few longer odds winners but most winners will be a m/ l top three selection..with two of same mentioned in a top three placing or finish Saturday at Tampa bay....the three big races may surprise ,though ,with a bigger pay off...watching the odds...lol..watching !!!!
