Ended up with #4- Kikkuli, which has been bet down to 8-5 currently, and #10- Romantic Style, with a possibly jet-lagged Wm Buick aboard at an overlay of 6-1. Buick rode Cinderella's Dream to victory in the Belmont Oaks Invitational (GI) yesterday (race off at 4:44pm ET) and then must have hightailed it to the airport to fly back to France against the clock (losing time heading eastbound) for this mount. Kikkuli's connections are taking a somewhat conservative path with him, but this is a GI albeit not a Classic. Romantic Style won a GIII over course and distance in April, then was a very close fourth in the French 1000 Guineas at Longchamp in May. Turns back to 7F, handles ground with cut, drew nicely in PP2. Wish Twinspires had a better wager offering, but quinellas it is.
QUIKEY- 4,10/1,6,8,12

Appleby’s runner was seriously bet and was pretty much distanced. He is in a serious drought over there, so we might expect more shippers here. Maybe O’Brien, Balding and the French to follow?
