Memories of watching the Pegasus at the meadowlands….used to be on Friday night Belmont stakes week?irbin the fall?
Used to fly in to Newark Friday afternoon, stay at meadowlands Sheraton, go to meadowlands Friday evening, drive to Belmont for Saturday, back to meadowlands for Saturday night, back to Belmont for Sunday, then fly out of LaGuardia
Good times!

How do you play the Pegasus? Tuscan to get back to his wet track number, Just Step On It looks slow, Otello was faster at 2yo, Willy is off a 6pt top, Hades off those last 2 races, Uncle Heavy gotten slower each race after his top in Feb, Domestic Product has never run faster than his maiden win and Sea Streak is off a 4 point top. T-Graph #'s.

R9 Eatontown S. (GIII)- Three scratches, including the two likely speed horses. #6- Spirit And Glory (5-1) should be sent forward by Bravo, has the most solid turf and stakes form in this bunch, was fifth in this event last year but that was a MUCH better field. #9- Maman Joon (3-1) is two-for-two with Chad, and Vincent Cheminaud. Easy maiden and N1X victories with big closing kicks, likely has more to give. Expensive daughter of Sea The Stars might have her coming-out party today for Amo Racing.
EX- 6,9/1,6,7,8,9

R10 Pegasus S.- Two scratches (Uncle Heavy is going to the Ohio Derby instead, against Catching Freedom for a $500K purse) leaves a field of six. Lots of question marks in this as Hoop pointed out. I'm going with the outside speed #8- Sea Streak (7-2). Jockey and trainer are red-hot this meet, won the Long Branch prep easily by seven against lesser. GIII Holy Bull was the only hiccup for this guy, thinking he's improved since then. Use #7- Domestic Product (3-1) with/underneath if you must, his Derby run can be excused but that was one weak-ass Tampa Bay Derby win.
WIN- 8

R11- Monmouth S. (GIII)- #9- Running Bee (7-2) has some speed, is very consistent, and has improved this season.
WIN- 9 EX- 9/2,4,5

EX- 6,9/1,6,7,8,9 TW Bravo on lead is ALWAYS iffy. I thought he’d have total control in front end, and he did, and Bravo major fail. He is the JV on the lead - Prat is just so good. Lesson learned for me; never single Bravo lone speed.
