i will say this once- i argued for months with my nuerosurgeon about my lower back pain before he spliced open my neck in december he refused to address my pain in my mid and lower back because the scans above showed sumthing concrete he could latch on now i am going to sue him because the x-rays he FINALLY authorized show i have been been suffering from a compression fracture all this time

What's up with Fierceness? 5/4 Derby 5/24 4F 50.00 6/14 4F 50.89 Not the usual Pletcher pattern to go with 20 day gaps.

It is strange, you would think if something was wrong he'd give him a few months off, but if nothing was wrong, he'd be working more.

Batten Down makes an interesting addition to the Travers picture. Looks like he might be a late bloomer starting to figure it out.

I will have to slo mo it again, but Sierra only bears out after he changes leads. Suggests a balance problem like when one side of your body has more strenth than the other side. I remember when my neurosugeon saw that in me, due to a lower back problem in lumbar region.....I enlisted a good personal trainer and my problem got solved, but took many months. That is notthing that cannot be ameliorated with correct training over time, but can't be rushed. Sometimes breaking bad habits means backtracking a bit.
But i really dont see Sierra`s problem as a conformation issue, as he only does it at a specific time. His legs are not crooked, he does not tightrope walk, etc.
I personally believe this is a training problem and may have to do with when and how he changes leads, and what side of his body needs strengthening.
I will also have to watch him again in shorter races.
Meanwhile, has any horse that cost $1million+ besides Fusaichi Pegasus ever won the Ky Derby? So far i think no

It could also be emotional/psychological.
But, if any of you dont believe in that and think he has an ACTUAL physical/neurological problem, then I will only say this once: if that is true, then it is madness to keep racing him as that might affect long term soundness, future soundness, and is a prescription for lameness.
And if that happens, then I will be loud about it. Because "put the horse first".
What do the vets say? Oh wait, there is no transparency to tell us these things. But i am sure they have checked his pasterns, cannon bones, knees, feet , shoulder, hips, hock, and back....right??.
That brings us back to either a training problem, or emotional psch issue. And any one who thinks that is balderdash, watch all of Notherly's races. It was part of his mentality to do what he did when all appeared lost....every time.

Maybe something to it or the Derby experience really zapped him. We should see him at his best in the Haskell if he is good to go. If not, shortening him up might be in the cards, especially since Repole has Mindframe coming along.

So we ended up with 2 of the 5. Anyone have any distance questions on Thorpedo Anna.

My question with Anna doesnt revolve around distance. She has all the talent in the world.
But if she doesnt just get loose on the lead on sheer talent and wire this...is she a warrior?
Cuz I have seen SL in action with his bumping, immovable object in motion, and Dornoch isnt letting just anyone run by him without digging in.
Right now my thoughts are dornoch, sierra, corporate power exacta box, but need to see post positions now that field is set.
What happened to Parenting and Muth? Thought they were going to be in this. No bafferts coming?
