Aidan O'Brien has six entered if they all run, including Unquestionable (BC Juv Turf winner), and Richard Hannon sends over Rosallion off his good second behind Notable Speech in the English 2000 Guineas three weeks ago.

In England, Haydock Park has two Group IIs including the Sandy Lane Stakes (3yo, 6F) where undefeated Vandeek makes his return to the races in this prep for the Commonwealth Cup (GI) at Royal Ascot.

#3- Nellie Leylax (5-1) is consistent (8//4-0-0), wants soft ground, and had a seasonal debut victory over C&D.

WIN- 3  EX- 3/1,2,12


Haydock R3-

#1- Vandeek (4-5) is clearly the class of the field, but given the chaotic seasonal debut efforts from many 3yos will also use #7- Purosangue (10-1) from Andrew Balding, which was a good third on his initial seasonal outing and should come on for that race.

Familiar group of older sprinters. #2- Moss Tucker (4-1) won a prep for this at Naas, handles all ground. Carries 3lb penalty for GI win here last September. #7- Shouldvebeenaring (9-2) hasn’t won in a while, but never ducks anyone and should be sitting on go with three starts under his belt in 2024.

Curragh R4-

#3- Raise You (4-1) is a HFTC (8//4-0-1), was fourth in a GIII in return to races after missing 2023, big threat if retaining all his ability. #11- Sumiha (7-2) 4yo Sea The Stars filly for the Aga Khan/Dermot Weld was second in Listed race at Cork last time in second career start, could be any kind.

Curragh R5- IRISH 2000 GUINEAS

#5- River Tiber (5-2) was Aidan O’Brien’s big 2yo last season until City Of Troy came along. Only losses were at the hoofs of Vandeek, son of Wootton Bassett should be crying out for a mile, may be under the radar just a bit. #6- Rosallion (even) will be over bet but deservedly so, just missed to Notable Speech in English 2000 Guineas three weeks ago, son of sprinter Blue Point still has to prove himself at a mile. Didn’t look to be stopping at Newmarket.

I actually don't mind being busy in the yard a couple of days a week. Iris and peonies popping this week, tiger lilies and day lilies next. A dozen planters with annuals on front walk and back patio. Got two hummingbird feeders, a suet pole and a bird seed house.
Relaxing for me.
Plenty of horses named after birds and flowers if you look.

Songbird
Dahlia
Flower Bowl
etc..
