Are you sure it's not the following day? That's the last day of the meet.

here is where I got the March 31st date...from DRF...
Always Dreaming likely to make 2018 debut in Gulfstream Mile As if having the Florida Derby and a massive Rainbow 6 dispersal isn’t enough, the March 31 program at Gulfstream Park also could feature the comeback of 2017 Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming.

I think TC is right. April 1 is Easter Sunday and there is no way that Gulfstream Park will have the mandatory pay out on that day (Nothing to do with religious observances , just pure old greed as I believe that simulcasts in New York and Kentucky are closed that day ! )

Absolutely correct, Bev. Several states ban any kind of wagering on Easter Sunday. Until a couple of years ago it was banned on Palm Sunday also. Not only are OTB parlors closed for business but online and/or telephonic accounts like Twinspires lock you out if you live in NYS.

Would they have two mandatory payouts in a row, then? Or will they carryover Sunday's pool to the next meet? Also, does this mean they're going to intersperse %6,250 claiming races amongst their stakes lineup on Florida Derby Day? Inquiring minds want to know.

The condition book shows nothing but MSP, allowance and stakes races next Saturday. There are three allowance races after the Florida Derby, so the Rainbow would be 3 stakes races and 3 allowances unless they move it up on the card.
Syndicate time?
