One of my certain to be stable stars from 2023 finally showed up to race on 1/31 at Gulfstream. Spy Novel won his first 2 last year before being beaten up in two allowance races, his last being 4/29. After 4/29, he was entered twice and scratched both times. He worked out NINETEEN times between July and January. He clearly wasn't short cutting the pace at 1 3/8 miles and finishing a strong second in a n1x on the turf, earning $15,840. I'm never catching TC last year, but this was supposed to be my good runner. Can't earn if you don't run.....
