It is National Dylan Day in PonyGirl's thread.
Yes, ’n’ how many times must the cannonballs fly Before they’re forever banned?

Got to fit Fogerty in somewhere.
Just about a year ago I set out on the road Seekin' my fame and fortune Lookin' for a pot of gold Things got bad and things got worse I guess you will know the tune Oh Lord, stuck in Lodi again

Been listening to Browne since the '70's.
Maybe the hardest thing I've ever done Was to walk away from you Leaving behind the life that we'd begun I split myself in two Proud and alone, cold as a stone Rolling down that hill into the night I could see the surprise and the hurt in your eyes From behind each flashing city light Love needs a heart and I need to find If loves needs a heart like mine

Brian Wilson.
I-I love the colorful clothes she wears And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair I hear the sound of a gentle word On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air

My favorite Goffin - King song has always been Goin Back and the Nils version of it is at the top of the list of covers.
I think I'm goin' back to The days when I was young enough to know the truth I think I'm returning to
The things I learned so well in my youth

My sister was a Bee Gees fan when we were kids. The only song I would ask her to play on the stereo was this.
There's a light A certain kind of light That never shone on me I want my life to be lived with you Lived with you There's a way everybody say To do each and every little thing But what does it bring If I ain't got you, ain't got?

I liked The Bee Gees early stuff, To Love Somebody, Words, Massachusetts, and the song that was their entree into the American market checking in at an efficient 2 minutes and 21 seconds:

Stevie wrote some classics.
I took my love, I took it down I climbed a mountain and I turned around And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills 'Til the landslide brought me down Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life?
You could be my silver spring Blue-green colors flashin' I would be your only dream Your shinin' autumn ocean crashin'

Happy Birthday Neil Diamond. I think this was the first song of his I ever heard. Always liked it.
Melinda was mine 'Til the time that I found her Holding Jim, loving him Then Sue came along, loved me strong That's what I thought Me and Sue, but that died too Don't know that I will But until I can find me The girl who'll stay And won't play games behind me I'll be what I am A solitary man, solitary man

Levon wears his war wound like a crown He calls his child Jesus 'Cause he likes the name And he sends him to the finest school in town Levon, Levon likes his money He makes a lot, they say Spends his days counting In a garage by the motorway

Van the Man. B side of Baby Please Don't Go.
Like to tell ya about my baby You know she comes around She about five feet four A from her head to the ground You know she comes around here At just about midnight She make ya feel so good, Lord She make you feel alright
