Bev has asked me to take over the construction of the Pick-? ticket, seeing as I'm the one that will be placing the bet anyways. No pressure . I've been re-reading every thread regarding selections, to make sure that I get all of your input. The final ticket will probably leave nearly everybody grumbling about one or two inclusions or omissions, but that is the nature of compromise. My first decision is to make this a Pick-6 ticket, just like last year. These things (Pick-5/Pick-6) are hard as hell to hit, even in an 'easy' year with an obvious single (2022.) Might as well get paid the maximum if we are right. I will be very busy after 3PM (ET) today, getting in other UIC people's bets, my own wagers, and just trying to enjoy the race coverage. Tomorrow, we are heading up to Saratoga early for the races, and I won't have much ability or time to look at UIC posts. Therefore, I'd like to have a final ticket in place at that time (3PM ET today), barring late scratches, where I will make my best judgment on substitutions (please Lord, no more defections.) In a little while I'll put up a tentative ticket that you can all analyze, and make suggestions, criticisms, express outrage, and loudly call me "an anarchist." I can take it. But I don't want to make exhaustive re-tweaks for hours on end. Remember, nobody gets everything they want, that's what your own personal tickets are for. Thanks for your consideration. Rub a rabbit's foot, put a horseshoe over your laptop, dance around your chair on one leg, make some luck. We're gonna need it. TW

UIC PICK-6 TICKET for Saturday:
R6- Casa Creed, Mawj, Songline, Kelina (4)
R7- Clairiere, Idiomatic, Adare Manor, Search Results (4)
R8- Onesto, Up to the Mark, Mostahdaf, King of Steel (4)
R9- Zandon, White Abarrio, Saudi Crown (3)
R10- Caravel, Live In The Dream, Nobals, Roses For Debra, Motorious (5)
R11- Elite Power, Gunite (2)
5x4x4x4x3x2 = $1920
leaves $80 for $20 saver exacta in Classic- 8/2,3,6,12
I had to cut one leg from four runners to three, felt most comfortable doing that in the Classic. If the exacta pays $30-$80, we could recoup $300-$800 anyways, and people who really like Ushba Tesoro might not feel the need to hunt me down at Saratoga next year.
Thoughts if you have them, I'm more than willing to make an adjustment if enough people agree on one.

Good job, Tom! Thanks for including Search Results in Distaff. The ticket looks pretty darn good to me. This is a very difficult task and you have pulled it off nicely. I'm happy.

Looks like a nice ticket. Well done and most logical runners included in some tough calls.
My toughest calls are in the Turf races… In the Mile I fear Gina Romantica having seen her last at Keeneland and she can win this easily enough. I think I have to use More Than Looks but that’s a gut play rather than anything I can point to on the PPs and probably more so underneath and in the gimmicks rather than on the win end. I have a hard time leaving AR out of the Turf given he is a 2 time Darby winner but that’s just looking at paper and not watching and following Europe as much as you so I certainly defer. I’d just hate to lose a Pick 6 by missing AOB and Ryan Moore in a turf race.
I’m not a Adare Mannor fan at all and wont be using but know many like so can’t argue there. She is 6 for 9 at SA but she’s never faced a field such as this. I think you’ll know more about how Baffert horses might run after today…. I will use Clairiere prominently as she is training well and enters off a similar path as last year where she was only beaten a head against a tough field at 6-1 which is where I imagine she’ll be tomorrow as well. That’s my only personal substitution really, but I think Idiomatic is training so well and in such good form, it may not matter who else lines up.
Agree you need deeper coverage in the Turf Sprint as anything could happen and really would not surprise. Logical uses to fit the budget in the Sprint to wind things up as well. Cutting a horse in another leg to add another here could work but which would it be?
Again, well done on the ticket construction Tom and thanks for tackling this!!!

There is so much speed in this race, she is finally going to get a fast pace to close into. I have heard many people like Gina Romantica, I mean it is chad and she ran faster than Up to the mark in her last race. Makes me wonder if her price is going to be as good as some think. Also not sure why, but I just never thought she was this kind. More Than Looks, I am a big fan. Horse closes like a train. Not sure if an American 3 year old has ever won the mile, IF it has happen, must have been some years back. I am going to wheel More than looks with all in 1st and 2nd in the Exacta.

Structured a $576 ticket last night to compare with our group ticket today, very similar. No Monday morning quarterbacking from me. Thanks.

Dblakers - War Chant at CD won the Mile at 3. Much different seasoning with that one but has happened

Thanks Michele, and everyone who commented, that's very nice of you.
I'm with you Tony, I almost made the mile the deep leg, could have gone eight and still been worried.

The wager has been placed. Hoping for no additional scratches, but not confident about that after yesterday. If there are more, I will try to adjust on the fly. Good luck to all of us, and thanks for the good input to make it all possible. Let's all make some scores today. Enjoy the races! TW
