I’ve always picked longshots in the Hopeful . I remember when I almost won the contest in 2011 when I had Trinniberg who was second in a photo at 69- 1 !!! Now I’m wishing I had picked the favorite in the finale !

I read not long ago that  "As I’ve said a million times it only takes one long shot to get going in this contest".  Looks as if Bev took his own advice, even though he waited until the next to last race of the meet.  Congrats on a brave pick Mr. H.   A ticket on that Delaware shipper would buy quite a few jars of Nutella. 

Amazing that Gary Contessa had absolute bombs in the feature races of the first and last days of the meet.

5wide, I'd like to thank you very much for creating and sponsoring this consolation prize, and even more so for all of your hard work in keeping track of the scoring.  Even with phlierfreak listing the 2nd place finishers each day, it still amounted to a lot of work on your part, probably a lot more than you had expected.

This is a very nice balm to what was a bad case of seconditis on my part, sometimes with strong contenders who got beaten, and sometimes with higher odds horses who ran better than their odds but not quite well enough to win.  Knowing that the conso was available probably prevented my taking frustrations out on my laptop.

Looking forward to using the prize in the BC.  Thanks again.
