See the nominations? In my view, worst ever top to bottom. Perhaps the Badactor can weigh in?

Hey Spanky... if you're looking to bet the Oscars, there is a LOCK in the Best Supporting Actor category. Put everything on Barry Keoghan in the role of
One of the most beautiful performances I've ever seen.
This film is absolutely brilliant... a must see!
I hope Colin Farrell gets the nod for Best Actor. (The better he does, the more often Phone Booth gets rented.)
The entire cast is perfect... I loved this movie.
I'm watching all the SAG AWARDS nominees.
A mostly enjoyable movie. Judd Hirsch gives an exquisite performance.
ELVIS is a good movie with a fantastic performance by Austin Butler. My opinion: Tom Hanks is poorly cast in the role of Colonel Tom Parker.
Nothing exceeds like excess... Babylon is 2 hours of pure over indulgence
followed by another hour trying to jam a story into the movie. A total waste.
The lovely Jennifer Connelly is so beautiful on screen. She does what she can in the girlfriend role. Unfortunately saddled with weak exposition filled dialogue.
But this movie isn't about the writing... or Ms. Connelly. It's all Tom Cruise, baby!

Spanky loves talkin' showbiz! Just finished watching another... LIVING www.imdb.com/title/tt9051908/Gracefully directed and beautifully shot film. A deeply moving and emotional performance by Bill Nighy. This is a lovely movie.

There is a nearly indistinguishable line between mental illness and great acting. The tragedy of the life of Marilyn Monroe is the subject matter of the movie BLONDE. www.imdb.com/title/tt1655389This one is tough to watch. Not merely for the abuses Norma Jean endures throughout her life... a mentally ill mother, sexualized and abused by every man she encounters, including her husbands, Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller. Everything about her is sad. The performers all do fine jobs in their roles. The problem is the clunky confusing awkward Direction. The director inexplicably switches back and forth from black and white to color without any discernible reason. It's not a past, present black and white trick. We've seen that and it works, but this director seems to be reaching into the bag for every trick he can get his hands on.
Odd focusing, strange camera lenses, all tricks poorly done. The director's fingers are all over this thing and it's a mess.
If you never see it you're not missing out. Rent an actual Marilyn Monroe movie, you'll have a better time.

Dell I agree 100% with your take on The Banshees of Inisherin. Certainly not a cookie cutter movie. Oh and by the way you’re not my friend anymore.

Tár ~ tedious and ridiculous. www.imdb.com/title/tt14444726Feels more like a novel being read aloud than a movie. I found it dull and boring. Cate Blanchett talks and talks and talks. Another Australian actor doing an American accent. Not my cup of tea. And speaking of women talking... Women Talking is worth seeing for the performances. www.imdb.com/title/tt13669038It's not an enjoyable experience... the subject matter is truly horrific. The direction is flawed and ultimately unsatisfying. There is one particular unforgivable choice the director makes on a long slow pan shot of an open field with a horse drawn buggy moving away from us up a dirt road... Apparently, the shot was taking too long, so they sped up the film (just a little) thinking we wouldn't notice. Well sir, I sure noticed. Horses don't look right when they are filmed in fast motion. They look silly. Might seem like a little thing, but it ripped me right out of the moment and the movie. Everything Everywhere All at Once is fascinating. I love the Multiverse concept and this movie is a romp through all of them. Intelligent, emotionally moving & funny. I'm not a fan of the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon style movies, but this one worked for me. This film is unique. I liked it. www.imdb.com/title/tt6710474

Is that Robert Duval in that Hustle movie? Yes... Mr. Duvall has maybe 5 minutes of screen time and every moment is a treasure. He plays the owner of the 76ers. If you love basketball (professional or street) you'll love this movie.

If you never see it you're not missing out. Rent an actual Marilyn Monroe movie, you'll have a better time. 100 percent- Blonde was based on Joyce Carol Oates take on Marilyn (Norma jean) which was fictionalized with the lines between fact and fiction often blurred. Ms. Oates is a talented writer but she felt she could better capture the essence of the person by not strictly adhering to the facts.I thought the film which was an adaptation from the Oates book was a mess and I struggled to finish it. Marilyn's life was full of traumatizing experiences and as Dell notes almost everyone sought to take advantage of her. But there were many strong positive and rewarding aspects to her life and career as well, and the film ignored these. There are dozens, even hundreds of accounts of her life out there. I recommend Donald Spoto's Monroe bio. I don't know if it is the best one, but it might be. It is fairly complete and balanced.
