Keep an eye on this story.
On Jan. 21, Gulfstream Park identified a horse who was displaying signs of EHV,” the track said in a statement. “That horse was immediately transferred to Rood & Riddle Veterinary Hospital in Wellington and the affected barn, barn 21 was placed in immediate quarantine. Testing was expedited through the Frederick Diagnostic Laboratory in Maryland which confirmed a positive EHV. Barn 21 remains in strict lockdown as per GSP protocols. One of the horses in quarantine was set to run in the Pegasus World Cup but was withdrawn prior to the post-position draw. We are awaiting further directive from the state veterinarian and will provide an update as soon as one is available.”

Trainer Victor Barboza Jr. had several horses running today in Gulfstream's races 4 and 5. They were announced as late scratches before race 3. |

Not playing this because I only bet Oaklawn during my local meet and save my bankroll for that .
And not to put a dent in the race, but heck, The Pegasus looks like a G2 race with 123 lb weights? Going 9F which isn't even a true "Classic" distance.
That said, I like White Abarrio (every career win was at GS and is working bullets). I also like Proxy who has matured a great deal.
Cybernife out in the 10 hole may be a false favorite, and I don't think Defunded will win this one.
