Finally a mostly bettable card, all 2yo races, two 6F dirt stakes. I'll probably skip races 4 & 5, and definitely trying to hit the late pick-4 (R7-10.) Fast & firm, 81F.

#3- Secretary of War (8-5) will likely be even-money by post time, based on Rodriguez's otherworldly first-off-the-claim stats (62//40% & 66%), but if he runs his last race again he'll lose, and Gallardo hasn't been sharp so far (9/1-1-2.) I'll play contrarian and try to get some combination of 1,4 & 6 home ahead of him.

Thinking that #8- Dropkick Murphy (2-1) can wire this group from the outside post under Pablo Morales, but I also have to use $125K purchase #4- Ship the Goods (4-1) just in case Clement has the goods. Godolphin's #1- Groveland (6-1) has every right to improve in his second start, son of Street Sense will be running on late.

Hoping that #3- Dreaming of Snow (4-1) is the fastest of these and never looks back under Camacho.

Wanted to bet #8- Dad's on a Roll (5-1) on opening day but they came off the turf. This appears to be a weaker group, and he's the one that is bred to do this best. Maddie Rowland has been ice cold to start the meet, but she does get 5lbs off. Taking a flyer.

#6- White Hot Gold (9-2) is a half-sister to Red Oak's homebred Mind Control, which won the Hopeful (GI) as a 2yo. Nice work over the track upon arrival.

Captain Obvious play with 1,5,8 (Brown, Motion, Clement) as they look like the solid turf routers going forward from this group. Using in PICK4 only.
