ok...when i was 4 i was watching the beatles on ed sullivan pretty sure i didn't even know what a radio WAS al jolson was a hit also and ...well it's a sick song www.theparisreview.org/blog/2016/03/28/worst-kid-song-ever/i am truly wondering how many 80s and 90s serial rapists and/or killers it inspired That's absurd. It was about the singer stealing some kisses from an older sister and not wanting the younger siblings to tell on him/her. Not terribly unlike part of thew Kinks classic Come Dancing from the 1980s which included these lyrics (and also as shown in the music video). Another Saturday, another date She would be ready but she's always make them wait In the hallway in anticipation He didn't know the night would end up in frustration He'd end up blowing all his wages for the week All for a cuddle and a peck on the cheek Come dancing That's how they did it when I was just a kid And when they said come dancing My sister always did My sister should have come in at midnight And my mum would always sit up and wait It always ended up in a big row When my sister used to get home late Out of my window I can see them in the moonlight Two silhouettes saying goodnight by the garden gate The day they knocked down the Palais My sister stood and cried The day they knocked down the Palais Part of my childhood died, just died Now I'm grown up and playing in a band And there's a car park where the Palais used to stand My sister's married and she lives on an estate Her daughters go out now it's her turn to wait She knows they get away with things she never could But if I asked her I wonder if she would Come dancing Come on sister have yourself a ball Don't be afraid to come dancing It's only natural It's not like I was a huge fan of Billy J Kramer, but the song absolutely fit the topic.

That the author, or you, have a dirty mind is your issue, not mine. The song fit the topic, you said it did not, you can keep replying all you want it does not change that fact. You watched Ed Sullivan on TV but didn't even know what a radio was? -OK. I'm done here. www.allmusic.com/song/little-children-mt0007253306

okiedokie i literally don't remember a radio in our house until my father died and my mother used talk shows (on mostly wgn) to keep her company while doing dishes. be4 that there was a portable tv in the kitchen where she watched dinah shore, mike douglas and dick cavett(hubbahubba) while cooking

A blues and Saratoga afternoon.
It could be a spoonful of diamond It could be a spoonful of gold Just a little spoon of your precious love Satisfy my soul

Petty wrote the song as a response to Ike Turner making advances toward Petty's wife at the time.
You think you're gonna take her away With your money and your cocaine You keep thinkin' that her mind is gonna change But I know everything is okay She's gonna listen to her heart It's gonna tell her what to do She might need a lot of loving But she don't need you

Day after day I'm more confused Yet I look for the light through the pourin' rain You know that's a game that I hate to lose And I'm feelin' the strain, ain't it a shame?
