#1- Sandy Lane Kitten (2-1) ships in from DEL off a ten week break, two works over the main track. Consistent 7yo son of Kitten's Joy has good early speed but can rate a little bit, he'll need to today as #9- Justintimeforwine (4-1) will be winging it on the front end under Jose Ferrer. #6- Cash Call Kitten (9-2) had a solid, progressive season as a 6yo, only three starts this year, all on the AW at GP. Return to turf should offer improvement, looks to be the best closer in a race loaded with early pace-types. Centeno takes the mount. Like this one a lot.

#1- Donya's Magic (4-1) has the best early speed and should be able to control the pace from the inside draw under Ferrer. Moves up in class a notch, and often gets caught near the finish, but may not be pressured much today. #8- Pie Killer (12-1) won a N1X at LRL in July, a repeat of that would be more than good enough today. She's the other speed on paper, a stalking trip would suit nicely. Trainer Bray has done the DEL/TAM shuffle with a very small string the last few seasons but knows how to win, taking a positive view with this one.

#5- Rock the Stars (5-2) is a lightly-raced 3yo son of Red Rocks (Galileo) out of a Sea The Stars mare. Came to hand very slowly this summer, finally breaking through in a MSW at MTH. Returned from a two month break to just miss in N1X going a mile at the Meadowlands, finishing a nose behind Pirate Parade which re-opposes today. Should appreciate as much distance as he can get, and as a closer is always dependent on pace and trip, but I'm betting this one has more improvement in him. #8- Pirate Parade (6-1) has quality speed but usually gets run down close to home, extra 1/16th does this one no favors, and presence of Fly Fly Away as the other 'need-the-lead' type could pressure him further. Expecting Castanon to blast right out of there and try to slow it down if possible.

Likely favorite #2- Above Par (8-5) takes a big drop in class and might just boss this group despite other early speed types. Bullet move over the track last week, and a 3F blowout three days ago say he's on his toes. If the favorite doesn't hold on, #5- Girls in Charge (12-1) might be the beneficiary. Bullet and near-bullet at HAW before shipping here. Three-for-six this year at PRM, has been sent to the front in all four starts since the Arnett claim, but has shown the ability to rate previously. Carlos Lozada, leading rider at LAD, takes the call.
