(which i think was judas)...she is now a retired met soprano who was on joe jackson's 7 sins(?) album. but i have pics of her from my 7th grade bd slumber-party |

i'm a little sad now i didn't go. but i saw the english beat A LOT in their arena hey day and many incarnations of them, on the streets, in the bars, in the basements, in the cars...i even cracked a ring off my finger dancing in the aisle at siu and had to try and explain to my bf's mother over xmas dinner why he bought me a new one while i bought him a toaster oven

It was a staple of the Kinks playlist in their early days. Funny story, I saw an early Kinks import/bootleg and it listed 'Lovie, Lovie" as a track. I very briefly wondered if this was their tribute to Thurston Howell's wife.

my roommate/friend/benefactor came in after a long day of manual labor in our 80degree chicago sun (sunburn time 23 minutes!) and asked me to sing him a lullaby as he proceeded to bogart the main living/cooking area for the next 2-3 hours while snoring on the couch...i immediately went to this and the snoring commenced:

Headed to Fogartyville tonight bto watch two of my favorites. Did two shows with them a few years ago, and took them to dinner afterwards. Hoping to talk them in to playing a house party this summer or fall if I can catch them between shows.....
