Instead of AQU for this meet, it's BAQ. DRF and Bris are differing for past races at Aqueduct. They're obviously AQU in the past performance line. DRF is showing the horse's lifetime record at the current track as "Bel", but they're the Aqueduct totals. Bris is just showing totals for "BAQ", which are zeroes.
Like 1/5 and 1/5 in the daily double? The Mean Queen chooses the Novice stakes (booooooooo) as race 1 while Snap Decision lugs 12 stone (168lbs) in the Lonesome Glory Hcp in race 2. Based on their individual talent, it's just a matter of running the course and not wiping out to win. I'm sure the plan for both is to race next month at Far Hills in the weight for age Grand National. Should be fun watching the best two US hurdlers strut their stuff.

Must be the only time in history that the current Eclipse winning steeplechaser is not only eligible but actually running in a novice race 🙄

I totally agree. Keri Brion's goal is to run during the Cheltenham Festival and she's worried about weight if she ran in handicaps this year. She lays over a nice young group, but it'll be enough of a challenge for her to get the work she needs. I'm really surprised to see Iranistan running against Snap Decision. Iranistan bled during the Smithwick at Saratoga and Brion was quoted after the race saying that Iranistan would never run without lasix again and he'd be back in the fall. Well.....here he is. Probably a good reason to play against Iranistan hitting the board as second choice.

We have a new Spy In The Sky in Noah and the Ark. Spy won both the 2009 NY Turf Writers and the 2012 A.P. Smithwick, each at 25-1. Big effort for Noah and the Ark, but that certainly wasn't Snap Decision's best race. Same for The Mean Queen off the layoff. Proven Innocent was one of my Saratoga contest picks and he ran his eyeballs out again. Hopefully everyone comes out okay so we can see the Queen/Snap rematch at Moorland Farm in Far Hills, NJ next month.
