I thank you very much Dell. But, I don't feel like the "Champion handicapper of the universe" - I don't even feel as if I played the best 18 holes. Clearly, it was Hooper who had the better round tee to green. He set the early pace, had a bold birdie on the front nine, had a strong lead at the turn, played the sort of back 9 a leader needs to hold position, went into the final hole with a 7 shot lead, and then had really bad luck and traffic trouble in the Derby. I just barely eaked out the win by one shot because Epicenter was able to hold off Zandon's late bid for the place. During all of the rest of the round, I was just watching his dust.
I'd very much like to pay tribute to Hoop's superb performance over the first 17 holes by splitting the wager for the Preakness equally (I think that would be $25 for each of us). Then we could meet at the 19th hole and toast one another's Preakness scores. How does that suit you?

Spot on about Hoops stellar performance, but that doesn't take away from how well you played and how deserving you are.

Hey guys, I'm leaving Ohio tomorrow for New Jersey. My California TVG account won't let me play from New Jersey, unless I have a 4 NJ bets account. So, let's wait till I get home on June 9th... in plenty of time to make your winning play on Belmont day!
Sorry about the tote delay...

Oops... looks like I was wrong! I'm here in New Jersey and my TVG account seems to be working. I guess I misread the rules.
Still, with all the traveling around, it would be easier (and more enjoyable for me) if we can wait until Belmont when I get home to make the prize plays for our winners... unless there's something you really LOVE @ Pimlico.
The folks we are staying with are taking us to see the Doris Duke estate this afternoon. I'll be out and about... but will check back here.

“Do you like orchids?’ ‘Not particularly,’ I said. The General half closed his eyes. ‘They are nasty things. Their flesh is too much like the flesh of men. And their perfume has the rotten sweetness of a prostitute.’”
― Raymond Chandler, The Big Sleep

"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink."
WORDPLAY: When Dorothy Parker was asked to use the word Horticulture in a sentence, she quickly and cleverly responded... “You may lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think.”
