Stone Age is the new Derby favourite for the Epsom classic after winning the derby trial at Leopardstown today.
Aiden O brien colt made all drawing away to win by an impressive 5 1/2 lengths
Aiden has now won 3 derby trials so far with just the Dante to run next week at York.
Final plans after next week

A few that I like at a price are:
Piz Badile (8-1) came again near the line to beat Buckaroo last out going 10F in GIII Ballysax S., but had a smooth inside stalking trip with the rail to help in the stretch. Progressed nicely through his three starts, not certain to be at his best at 12F, but Donnacha O'Brien has no other entries with him before Epsom.
Buckaroo (16-1) was narrowly beaten by Piz Badile two starts ago, then Joseph O'Brien ran him back at a mile in the Tetrarch S. where he romped by four without hardly being asked until inside the final furlong. He has an Irish 2000 Guineas entry, but with his breeding (Fastnet Rock x Galileo mare) I can't help but think he should be given his shot at 12F glory.
Westover (16-1) looked like a horse that needed its seasonal debut when winning a squeaker over the fast-closing Cash at Sandown in the Classic Trial (GIII). Seems trainer Beckett may go straight to the Derby with the Juddmonte runner. I think this Frankel colt makes a big forward move wherever it runs next.

Hi Tenfurlongs
the 2 that i have backed at 33/1 each are Westover and Cash they were split by a short head in the classic trial at Sandown as you know.
Both are lightly raced and further improvement can be expected and both should stay.

Yes Swide hes been backed from 33/1 into 6/1 over the past 2 weeks
Its a big ask to win the Dante on Thursday group 2 after just winning a maiden race at Nottingham but he was impressive that day but the form of that race hasnt worked out well.
Aiden Obrien belives Ryan Moore will ride Stone Age in the Derby another impressive winner at Lepardstown on Sunday winning the Derristown Derby trial.
No horse has won this trial and gone on to win the Derby since High Chapparal and that was 20 years ago

Right call by Donnacha/Flaxman. Ryan will get plenty of good mounts from the stable going forward.
