Point of clarification... which race goes off first: UAE Derby or Louisiana Derby? If they don't change the order of the races in Dubai, the UAE Derby is supposed to run at 10:10am EDT. But either way, the UAE Derby will go first. TW

MEY R2 (8:20am EDT)- 1m Godolphin Mile (Group 2) (Dirt) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2022-03-26/807930Field of 16 runners, wide draws will compromise a few. #1- Al Nefud (5-2) is a lightly-raced 4yo Dubawi gelding, hasn't missed the board in six starts, ran with Hot Rod Charlie through the stretch last time going 9.5F before falling back from that rival while well clear of the rest. Turns back to a mile (2-for-2) and draws post 2. #9- Great Scott (30-1) is one I'll take a chance with at a big price. Was a decent turf horse in GB, then was sold to Saudi connections where he took to dirt like a champ. Finished third to Mishriff and Charlatan in last year's Saudi Cup, and last out was second behind subsequent 2022 Saudi Cup winner Emblem Road in a rich mile race at Riyadh. Don't sleep on him despite somewhat wide draw in 12. EX- 1,9/1,2,5,9,10,12,15 WP- 9 MEY R3 (8:55am EDT)- 2m Dubai Gold Cup (Group 2) (Turf) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2022-03-26/807931#12- Manobo (1-2) is a standout for Godolphin/Appleby/Buick in this. Progressive through five starts, winning them all, last time easily dispatched the field in the GIII Nad Al Sheba Trophy. Heir apparent in the 2-mile division despite heavy-ground-lover Trueshan and a one-more-time Stradivarius. TRI- 12/3,4,5,8,9/3,4,5,8,9 MEY R4 (9:35am EDT)- 6f Al Quoz Sprint (Group 1) (Turf) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2022-03-26/807932High draws (stands-side) are often favored in turf sprints here. If the #10- Man of Promise (2-1) that blitzed the field three weeks ago in the Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint runs back to that race, it's all over. If he's to be beaten, then stablemate #4- Creative Force (5-1) has the credentials. Won the British Champions Sprint when last seen at Ascot in October, and with only ten starts may still have some improvement forthcoming. EX- 4,10/1,3,4,5,10,13,15 MEY R5 (10:10am EDT)- 1m1½f UAE Derby (Group 2) (Dirt) (3yo)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2022-03-26/807933Putting most of my faith and money in #4- Azure Coast (6-1) which is undefeated in three tries including the UAE 2000 Guineas at a mile last out. He comes from the clouds, seemingly hopelessly beaten on the far turn, but has a tremendous finish. A strong pace would certainly help him. #3- Quality Boone (15-1) has been a model of consistency over here, with two wins, a second, and a third. He won the Al Bastakiya over C&D last time and has been expertly handled by his Uruguayan connections since he arrived in December. The new shooters include Combustion, which looked like he was running of fumes at the end last time, can't like him at 9.5F; and Pinehurst for Baffert, which isn't a lock to get the distance either. EX- 3,4/3,4,5,11,15 MEY R6 (10:45am EDT)- 6f Dubai Golden Shaheen (Group 1) (Dirt) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2022-03-26/807934#10- Red Le Zele (8-1) is following the same pattern that saw him finish second in this last year. #8- Meraas (7-1) has taken to dirt admirably, this is tougher, but hardly a GI field despite the grading/purse. #2- Dr. Schivel (2-1) may be the only legitimate GI dirt horse in here, drew nicely towards the outside, his race to lose. EXBOX- 1,2,10 MEY R7 (11:20am EDT)- 1m1f Dubai Turf (Group 1) (Turf) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2022-03-26/807935Race appears to lack pace on paper, which will not help closers like #7- Lord Glitters (15-1) which could only manage sixth in this event last year. #8- Lord North (5-1) is the defending champ under Frankie, had a good AW prep for this last month, needs to stay no worse than mid-pack or risks having too much to do late. #10- My Oberon (20-1) ran well in two GIs last season, also had an AW prep for today, newly-married Tom Marquand (Hollie Doyle) rides again for Mr. Haggas, could surprise from post 2. The speed would appear to be #11- Panthalassa (7-1) which blew away a GII field in Japan last time, going six lengths clear early and coasting late. Not a fan of m/l favorite #12- Schnell Meister (2-1) especially at a short price, he didn't look very impressive when finishing second in GI Hanshin Mile when last seen. EX- 8,10/6,8,9,10,11,12 WP- 10,11 MEY R8 (11:55am EDT)- 1m4f Dubai Sheema Classic (Group 1) (Turf) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2022-03-26/807936#4- Glory Vase (7-1) is the most accomplished horse in the race, with $6.5M in earnings and two victories in the Hong Kong Vase (GI). Draws well in post 6, gets world-class Christophe Soumillon in the saddle. Bet to win if he stays at or above m/l price. #14- Yibir (3-1) won the Breeders' Cup Turf (GI) with a huge, circled-the-field move when last seen. From post 12, he may have to try that maneuver again under Buick. No doubting his talent however, and he relishes the firm ground he should get in here. Hukum and Dubai Honor are also of interest, but may find a placing to be their ceiling. EX- 4,14/4,5,7,9,11,13,14 WP- 7,11 MEY R9 (12:30pm EDT)- 1m2f Dubai World Cup (Group 1) (Dirt) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2022-03-26/807937Just in case Life is Good misses the break and gets buried down inside, I'll box four who should handle the course and distance. EXBOX- 5,6,9,11 TW

Good luck in the Godolphin contest Tom . Bring it home for UIC 🏆 Thanks Bev. Already made my final stable swap, just waiting to see if there is a bonus race. If not, I may have to hope that everyone ahead of me is either finished with swaps, or forgot about the contest during the three week break. TW

Race 2 - Great Scot's KSA races have gotten good tgraph figs, and he's got a big shot at 30-1. Bankit didn't run well off the layoff last time, but his best is good enough and don't think Asmussen would send him here if he wasn't doing great. Aljiers will be a huge price and his two dirt races got pretty solid figs from tgraph too.
Race 3 - Really like Stay Foolish who ran a tremendous race last time out in his first try beyond 12f.
Race 4 - Mon of Promise is going to be tough to beat. Casa Creed's best is competitive, but most of his sprints haven't been quite good enough. Happy Romance is interesting, she gets a break in the weights and nice a nice race off the layoff in her first start as a 4 yo. a step forward could put her in the mix.
Race 5 - Irwin is takes on an extra 10 lbs as a s.hemisphere 3 and a half year old. Even so his run much the best in here on tgraph and is a huge price.
Rage 6 - I'll be pretty surprised if wonderwherecraigis doesn't go off favorite, I'll be more shocked if he doesn't win.
Race 7 - Lord North got a poly prep in and is by far the best of these on his A game, which I think we'll see.
Race 8 - Glory Vase has been fast and consistent, I expect more of the same from the 7 year old.
Race 9 - LIG is really good, obviously. Probably try a cold exacta with Country Grammer who is right there with MB and HRC but a much longer price. Chuwa Wizard is a bomb, but really isn't that far off the non-LIG runners and may be worth including if playing some deeper tri tickets.

Fan favorite Lord Glitters is unfortunately a non runner
My best bet of the day is Wondrwherecraigis in the Golden Shaheen (Have backed him at 9-1 in the UK)

Hard to like Azure Coast with any confidence now, if the track is truly speed-favoring.

Tom is up to 6th in the Godolphin contest and none of the top 4 have Yibir I had put most of my eggs in the Turf Sprint basket, taking all four runners, but couldn't get anyone other than Man of Promise in the money. Not sure I can gain much from here. Fingers crossed. TW
