Long story short. I have spent the 100 grand and have 4 $25,000 claimers that have returned $32,170 after initial starts. Amazing Dream (Aqueduct. I actually picked a winner..LOL)), Troubling Moon (very bad Aqueduct choice), Pistachio Princess (Santa Anita..time will tell) and Philly Lishes (Santa Anita, may have a future). Amen and good luck to all throughout 2022. ProPro does not need any luck!

Decent February so far with a win, third and fourth for $31,760, $122,940 total. I'm impressed with Knowhowiknow so far at Laurel. This horse runs his eyeballs out if he's head and head on the lead. They stretched him to a mile last out and ran his best lifetime race. Hoping 2 turns is next. I'm NOT impressed with Gulfstream Park since they haven't carded a single claiming race for 3YO fillies sprinting on tapeta or turf since Pronta broke her maiden on 1/5. OC35k claimer on 2/2 didn't fill and nothing is in the overnights.

I hope it's this time.
Seems I remember about 30 years ago,
I did a very non scientific study...
I would check the Horseman page at Equibase.
First time geldings are listed there.
Sample size of about 50 runners over several months came back with 7 winners.
Did a similar study with pooping in the post parade.
Around 10% winners.
As an angle, first time gelding isn't as strong
as I think people believe it is.
Still, if the ultimate equipment change
gives my boy a little extra running room,
we'll take any advantage we can get. GO JOE GO!
