ATTENDANTE GOES FOR BIG POT TOMORROW IN HANDICAP AT DEAUVILLE TRIP
(2500 METERS), TURF (GOOD), WEIGHT (130 POUNDS) ALL REASONABLE
GRAFFARD FILLY IS IN GOOD FORM AT THE MOMENT FOLLOWING HER WIN
Attendante (FR) begins from the 10 stall in a field of 18 for the featured “big handicap” tomorrow
going 2500 meters on the grass at Deauville. The top-rated horse in the race is 2.2 pounds superior
on the Official Ratings, Attendante is rated below only 3 runners in the race and even with two others.
Weights scale very low, but the bulk of competition appears to be with the top 9 in the race,
which are separated by only about 5 pounds.
French website ZeTurf has the filly picked on top, writing
“All lights are green” for tomorrow at Deauville in the “big handicap.”
The Team Valor International colorbearer must tote 130 pounds along with two others
and she receives 1 pound from the high-weighted runner in the race. She carries the same weight
as two others and must concede just 3 pounds to the lowest of what appear to be the major competitors in the contest.
Hugo Journiac, aboard the 4-year-old filly when she won smartly last time at Saint Malo,
returns for his boss Francis H. Graffard.
Graffard says “Very pleased with the filly, a good opportunity for her to be competitive and hopefully
that will build her confidence back for the future”
Attendante is currently favored at odds of 7 to 2 for the handicap,
with Andre Fabre’s 4-year-old filly Mystical Land next at 6 to 1
followed by the 5-year-old horses Agua at 7 and Canello next at 8 to 1.
Mystical Land has one thing going for her and that is her trainer Fabre.
Otherwise there is not much to recommend her.
Canello is improving horse that has placed in 3 of his last 4 outings while increasing his Official Rating by 6 pounds.
Attendante has back class. If her head is on straight now with that last win under her belt, she has plenty of quality
to return to and would prove a handy winner if she is into it tomorrow. Graffard has allowed her to drop to these depths
in hopes of having her rise again when more confident. Tomorrow is the litmus test of the theory. ~ GOOD LUCK! 💝🐴
