Just curious...anyone get to see Bowie live? I would think it was a great show. He had a slew of hits for sure. Here's one of my favorites...

I saw him on the Sight and Sound tour, and we all noticed Adrian was there. Great show

Sorry but I really like these guys. This is an acoustic version of Ice done in someone's home as a benefit. Part of the song is added music not part of the original song. Ice is all about relationships and touring. I met John (singer) at Pimlico once, music in the infield and he was there with family.
Enjoy

Well I don't know of another Landover, Cap Center? ... it all started there with ELP for me then Skynyrd before the crash .... CSNY the day Nixon was impeached and the list gets long including The Who with Keith Moon, Wings. I had one opportunity to see Pink Floyd but I HAD to work.

Very impressive list of shows ziggy. I would be hard pressed to select a single show I would go see. Probaly go with Wings to see an original Beatle.

Oh god that list gets long then switches over to Merriweather (Bowie, Tull 5x's with 20th yr the best, Crimson 3x's probably topping those shows). Painters Mill was just down the road ...... Styx, Little Feat. I saw that Frank Marino scheduled a 2nd show at Ram's Head and Billy Bob Thornton is playing there. That's been our go to place lately. I saw Mahogany Rush at Shenandoah Downs with J Geils and somebody else, the name just not coming to me.
If we start talking who a household has seen, well Ina can start off with the Beatles.
This area fits the basement with so many places to see shows, DC not that far away. Plus on the horse side I can take metro to Pimlico. LRl a bit longer drive, CT next Then Penn a long drive that dad and I'd do for the Belmont simulcast. Philly is also possible in a day if you really wanted to see someone (Broad Brush)

I bought a series at Merriweather. You then own those seats or could choose to move up. I stopped at 10th row dead center. Shows like Bowie were then offered to series members first so got 8th row. Plus after a few years a group would rotate back into your series the main reason besides loving their shows so Tull 5 times 4 there. Plus I had 2 series some years. I bought the one because it went from country to rock and Trower was in the series. Having such a long membership and the fan switch I was in the 2nd row and Robin right in front of me. I had to drop them because my seats were suddenly in the new gold section and it really wasn't that good that year with a price jump.

Well I saw this somewhere else, Adrian Belew's Power Trio with Stickmen, Tony Levin. Lots of talent on the stage
Julie plays barefoot. Two members of crack shoeless. Been seeing it a lot, recent shows.

I wish I'd been born in '51. From where I live now, backroads only, it is 45 minutes to there and 30 from the place.
A 12 yo at this point, I'm still trying to remember who was my first there and hoping I remember when it comes along. 8/24/68 Iron Butterfly, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida tour
