PIANO & SONG... We're Back! ❤🎼
Steve Lawless & Dell Yount are booked to perform April 29
@ Oakmont Senior Living Community. It's been over a year... I am thrilled to be able to share music with audiences again!
My beautiful daughter, Stephanie, will be joining the show. I LOVE hearing her sing! ...and her dad "ain't too bad either."😉 Hopefully, this is first of what will be many more performances. I miss Steve and the piano and the audiences and the music... wasn't sure if COVID would ever let us perform together again.
The Big Question... after a year of sitting on the sidelines, will I still remember all the words to all those wonderful songs?
Music, Laughter and Love to all who read this message! ~ Dell.

Thank you folks (you know who you are) for being here in good times and bad. Your friendship over these many years is a blessing in my life... you and the horses.
Don't know what I'd do without you. Here's to better days ahead, my friends. Cheers!

Strangest experience today... wonderful to sing again. Wonderful to hear Steve play again. The residents were all masked. Eight foot separation. No singing along...though they did anyway. Performed the entire hour with the mask. Encouraged NOT to get close to the audience members. A punch in the heart. 15 of them were not at the show. Never will be again. Lost to the pandemic. It was an emotional tsunami. I was stunned. No time to process it... because "The show must go on!" I had a group of folks ready to escape into the great music. They needed it. We needed it. I needed it.
In High School there was a teacher who made it possible to sing the National Anthem at Homecoming. She was Activities Director and taught Biology. I got a B- in science and permission to sing at the game. A couple thousand people in the stands - it was the biggest crowd I'd ever sung for at the time. GO FOHI! On facebook, I promised her a song for her 75th Wedding Anniversary. Was able to answer her request today.
So, here it is.... first song off the layoff.

very nice, dell.
you should give American Idol and/or The Voice a shot...maybe a father and daughter duet?
sure, you are probably not the right demographic for either show and there are some phenomenal singers that participate but might be fun to see an audition?
