Race 4 (11:05am EDT)- Madrid Handicap 49000 3yo 7F Turf#1- Duke of Mantua (2-1) runs for the Ballydoyle bunch with Ryan Moore aboard. Had a late start as a 2yo, ran third behind St. Mark's Basilica on debut, and that one went on to take down the Dewhurst S. (GI) at Newmarket. Broke maiden with similar performance next out, both times over soft ground. #6- Erzindjan (5-1) broke his maiden over heavy conditions at Cork, then was fourth of seven in a GIII at Leopardstown when last seen. Dermot Weld/Colin Keane at the controls for The Aga Khan. Several others offer promise to be classy 3yos, will spread underneath and hope for a price. EX- 1,6/1,2,3,5,6,9 Race 6 (12:10pm EDT)- Irish Lincolnshire (Premier Handicap) 4up 1 Mile Turf24 horse field. Trying a five-finger-death punch: EXBOX- 5,9,10,14,16 Race 7 (12:40pm EDT)- Handicap 4up 1 Mile Turf#2- Dragon of Malta (20-1) showed solid form in the second half of last season, handles the distance and the expected heavy ground. Had an AW prep at Dundalk last month, is up in the weights but has a leg up on most of the rest. #4- Mk Drama (8-1) showed nothing through July of last year, but was much improved following a short break, with a win and a third over similar ground as today. Race 6 (12:10pm EDT)- Irish Lincolnshire 110000 (Premier Handicap) 4up 1 Mile Turf24 horse field. Trying a five-finger-death punch: $1EXBOX- 5,9,10,14,16 Result: 14,5,12 Exacta: $121.20 #14-Lafayette ($17.40) sat in behind from an inside draw (5), waited for a hole to open, and finished best of all, with #5- Maker of Kings (11-1) storming home on the outside to miss by a long neck.Race 7 (12:40pm EDT)- Handicap 13000 4up 1 Mile Turf#2- Dragon of Malta (20-1) showed solid form in the second half of last season, handles the distance and the expected heavy ground.
