Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Dead @ 66. I'm not sure the cause of his death but the middleweight champ from Brockton, Mass. thrilled us with a fight vs. Thomas "Hitman" Hearns and the a close loss to Sugar Ray Leonard, that many including myself thought Hagler won.
This has arguably been called the best round of boxing ever.

Very popular guy here in New England. Saw him once at an auto parts store near my house, listed height of 5'10 seemed generous. Friendly and cordial in my brief encounter. Used to do his road work in the area in heavy combat boots. Old school champ gave me many good memories.

Agreed. That was a golden age of boxing with Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Arguello, and Pryor involved in many memorable fights.
