Some real nice races on Saturday with turf flat season ready to get started in two weeks, and some trainers using the AW to get in a prep.

WOL 1st (6:45am EST)- 7f Handicap (Class 4) (3yo 0-85)
#2- Nortonthorpe Boy (10-1) looks to re-establish the form that saw him win four times already this season, three times at today's distance. Drops down a class today and cuts back to favorite trip. #3- Double Dealing (9-5) has two wins from two starts this year, both by daylight margins. First time in a handicap today, needs to improve a bit but probably will. #5- Host (4-1) is a perennial bridesmaid which has been running longer recently, finally broke maiden two back. Returns to a long sprint where he's usually thereabouts and gets the services of Ryan Moore who is certain to kill the price a point or two. #9- Woke Media (15-1) 3yo filly is in very light with a 5lb apprentice who is riding okay. Fits with these on performance and the light weight makes her dangerous. 1,6,7 are all turf horses debuting on AW, hoping they are just prepping but transfer of their turf form could see any of them on the board.
EX- 2,3/2,3,5,9
WOL 3rd (7:55am EST)- 1m1½f Handicap (Class 4) (4yo+ 0-80)
#5- Kendergarten Kop (8-1) has been nibbling at this level last three, a repeat of February race at Kempton could win this. Distance suits. #8- Starfighter (4-1) doesn't win much, but runs his race every time and looks to be in peak form right now. Kingscote rides back and should contend from an inside draw.
EX- 5,8/1,2,5,8
WOL 5th (9:05am EST)- 7f Lady Wulfruna Stakes (Listed Race) (All-Weather Championships Fast-Track Qualifier) (Class 1) (4yo+)
Nice 7F stakes with some layoff/turf types against AW regulars. Landed on #4- Highland Dress (3-1) for Archie Watson and regular rider Kieran Shoemark. Has run well on polytrack, makes Tapeta-debut today in top form. Will be forwardly placed, repeat of either of his last two makes him tough in here.
EX- 4/1,2,3,5
WOL 6th (9:40am EST)- 1m½f Lincoln Trial Handicap (Class 2) (4yo+ 0-105)
#2- Born to Be Alive (5-1) was good for me to the tune of 18-1 in his last, picks up some weight off of that victory but can't be dismissed in current form. #13- Al Muffrih (15-1) gets in light, has four fourth-place finishes in four AW starts. He has hidden progressive form in those races however, and faced some top handicap company last out when beaten less than three lengths. Upset Special!
EX- 2,13/2,3,9,10,13 W/P- 13
WOL 7th (10:15am EST)- 6f Handicap (Class 2) (4yo+ 0-105)
#1- Summerghand (3-1) was one of the better 6F handicap horses in GB last year. He has two starts this term, just missing to Ventrous and Aberama Gold in his last, should be primed for a top effort today under Adam Kirby. #5- Streamline (4-1) was one I followed in 2019 as a 2yo, winning a GIII before going to the shelf for all of 2020. Reappeared on the AW this year and has been nibbling around the edges against top company, gets in light today and has Ryan Moore deputizing for Mr. Kirby who jumps ship.
EX- 1,5/1,2,5,8
WOL 9th (11:25am EST)- 5f Handicap (Class 4) (3yo 0-80)
#3- Nelson Gay (2-1) is an obvious must-use for Hughes/Moore but hasn't been out since before Christmas, not a single. #5- Bert Kibbler (4-1) is the one that really interests me. He's been progressive in all five starts on turf and AW, won over C&D last time, faces no world-beaters and should take another forward step today. Bet to win @ 5-1 or better.
EX- 3,5/2,3,4,5 WIN- 5 @ >=5-1
CHD 2nd (12:50pm EST)- 7f Handicap (Class 4) (4yo+ 0-85)
#1- Alminoor (7-1) has progressed nicely in three recent AW starts, drops a class today and stretches out to distance of last victory. #5- Apollinaire (8-1) is interesting. Capable 2yo missed all of 2020, AW return was not bad against much better foes. Should be better with that effort under the belt.
EX- 1,5/1,2,4,5,6
CHD 3rd (1:20pm EST)- 1m Handicap (Class 4) (3yo 0-85)
Five horse field, but I don't like the m/l favorites, so #1- Henrik (5-1) ran close first time in a handicap, distance should suit. #4- Majestic Tejaan (5-1) has three fine AW runs this season, was beaten a neck by highly-fancied Oo De Lally, who was third behind Godolphin's Highland Avenue in the Road to the Kentucky Derby Stakes earlier in the month. Not sure that she shouldn't be favored in this bunch.
EX- 1,4/1,2,3,4
CHD 5th (2:20pm EST)- 5f Handicap (Class 3) (4yo+ 0-95)
Love #1- Royal Birth (7-2) especially if the price holds. Has faced arguably the five best dash fields run in GB this year, holding his own at age 10. Drops back to Class 3 today after running too well to miss last time against Ornate. Set to succeed.
