Race 2- Hcp38000 f&m 4up 7F
#3- Movie Moxy beautifully bred 4yo daughter of Street Sense was very progressive in her 3yo season, Kenneally finds a good spot to get her started this term, Luis Saez rides. She'll have to fend off former JolyB Stables claimer #6- Crumb Bun which looks to be rounding back into form, surprised the jockey doesn't come with her.
Race 4- Alw31250N1X f&m 4up 8.5F turf
Perhaps #3- Global Brand can finally put it all together today against this uninspiring bunch. Late running son of War Front was in an almost impossible spot against a glacial pace last time, flew home in sub-23 final quarter to just miss. #10- Niceno draws widest for Delacour/Diaz, Jr. but has come to hand quickly over this surface and doesn't need to improve much to contend here.
Race 5- Challenger S. (GIII) 100K 4up 8.5F
Finally gets GIII status and they can only attract a field of five, smh. Pace vs. Class, as Pletcher speedball #3- War Stopper tries to steal it from #2- Last Judgment which outclasses them all on paper.
Race 7- Columbia S. (Listed) 75K 3yo 8F turf
This is a competitive affair for lightly-raced horses with promising futures. #4- Comedy Town is a Live Oak homebred by Speightstown out of their multiple-SW Unbridled Humor. Broke maiden when stretched out at GP last time, needs to find a few lengths under Centeno today but that is very possible. #5- The Right Stuff goes for Stonestreet/Clement, broke maiden here in January under Camacho first-time in Clement's barn after running for Wesley Ward as a 2yo. Expensive Sea The Stars colt could be any kind. #6- Whatmakessammyrun sneaks into town for George Weaver, has excellent turf form, last race was a paceless mile at GP under Saez, who bails out for Pletcher rail horse, Gallardo deputizes. #9- Mira Mission can win this if she goes, IMO. No rider named, Junior sticks with Mott, not sure who's available. Mejia or Ferrer? Snuck through a MdClm50 without being taken, then came right back in an OClm in racehorse time FTL.
Race 9- Hillsborough S. (GII) 225K f&m 4up 9F turf
Annually the best race on the card. #1- Magic Attitude daughter of Galileo was a terrific 3yo in France, purchased privately by Lael Stables and brought to the States, where she landed the GI Belmont Oaks Inv. and ran third in the QEII Cup (GI) at Kee. First time against older, would prefer firm ground per trainer. #4- La Signare is a classy sort which nibbles around the edges in graded company, choice of Quinonez today says steer clear. #8- Miss Teheran looks like the better of the two Chads, lightly-raced, progressive 5yo still has room to improve. #11- Micheline 4yo Godolphin filly has a pedigree for dirt, but turf is clearly her game. Progressed nicely last fall, faces older for the first time, wide draw under Saez but she wasn't looking for the front anyways. Fun fact: she's a half-sister to Proxy, one of the Godolphins on the Derby trail this year.
Race 11- Tampa Bay Derby (GII) 400K 3yo 8.5F
All over #8- Hidden Stash in this one. Fast closing third in Sam Davis S (GIII), switches back to Bejarano who's won the two times he sat on him, this is not the deepest field ever for this race.

I'll try Tampa Bay, since I can't beat Gulfstream.
RACE 2 Can't disagree with above. Can't see MOXY better than even money either. p4 pw 3-6/2-3-4-6-7-8/3-7-10/4-5 OFF TRACK #2 BAYDAR replaces #6
RACE 3 #8 OPULENT WAYS broke far outside while showing speed for most of it in his first start. Maybe gets the lead here and takes it as far as he can. #4 SUMMER HOME adds juice and should improve. #7 BAHAMA MISCHIEF has no early foot, should be running best late in to a probable quick pace. May be too short for him—he gets L also. Of course the Brown and Motion runners will be hammered and could be any kind.... tri key 8/2-3-4-6-7
RACE 4 #10 NICENO looks better than these--maybe too obvious, so tossing in the other favorites #3 GLOBAL BRAND with Proctor and his main client, and #7 PECHANGA hoping that he gets going earlier. tri pw 3-10/3-7-10/all OFF TURF #2 FIRST COURSE has a dirt pedigree, and #9 WE THE CLOUDS has a couple of decent Tampa dirt runs
RACE 5 Unless #5 MODERNIST returns to his best form, #4 LETMENO should sit back and run down this short field. #2 LAST JUDGEMENT comes out of seriously hot-paced races(he ran down Pete's Play Call) and should hook up early with Pletcher's #3 WAR STOPPER, who has come back running while stepping up. So I have mentioned all but one runner--you know what to do..... #4 win
RACE 6 Coming back with Wilkes/Leparoux and #2 SEMINOLE BEACH to get the best of the highly touted #8 UNTREATED. tri pw 2-8/2-3-4-8/1-2-3-4-8 OFF TRACK #3 DREAMING OF GERRY has the class and mud pedigree to improve
RACE 7 #13 BLUE CAT if he draws in. Pletcher's #1 WINFROMWITHIN was quick and very game down the lane last out, battling another nice runner while leaving the others behind. #4 COMEDY TOWN looks like a runner— I don't like the rider in a deep, talented group where pace and trip should decide. Weaver's #6 WHATMAKESSAMMYRUN wouldn't surprise either. This should end up as a key race where a few winners emerge. #13 win Otherwise not sure OFF TURF #4 COMEDY TOWN and #7 TAPWOOD show mud pedigrees that are competitive, while #1 WINFROMWITHIN was in a very hot short field @ Toga--notice the winner? Many of these contenders have poor mud pedigrees and will probably scratch
RACE 8 Break time You tell me..... OFF TRACK #4 LAST PROMISE could move up if he can overcome the trainer stats--#7 MR ANKENEY is very likely
RACE 9 Another loaded field....#7 NEW YORK GIRL has serious Euro form, and gets another chance after being just short prior. Same could be said for #1 MAGIC ATTITUDE. Brown has two nice ones in here also. #11 MICHELINE has been working for a while to come back here.... #7 win---too many Euro stars better than these in her pps p4 pw 1-2-7-11/2-9-11/3-8-11/2-3-4-8-12 OFF TURF Many will scratch--#9 QUEEN NEKIA enters the picture. #6 HOW IRONIC and #3 MYHARTBELONGSTODADDY would be possible...
RACE 10 #11 OYSTER BOX got my attention in her first start, and re-affirmed in her next. Won't be surprised if #9 HINDSIGHT takes to turf and runs well in here. Have to run down #2 JOUSTER, and I believe that they will. #11 win tri pw 11/2-9-10-12/all OFF TURF #9 HINDSIGHT stays in the mix, and #6 BE SNEAKY might move up seriously. #2 JOUSTER stays in the mix and #1 BIG BAD DIVA can hit the board.
RACE 11 Can't knock #3 CANDY MAN ROCKET clearly best last time, though #8 HIDDEN STASH was finishing very well just behind. #11 PROMISE KEEPER looks like an up and comer who should be very tough also #11 win tri pw 3-8-11/3-8-11/all OFF TRACK #3 CANDY MAN ROCKET becomes very vulnerable. #8 HIDDEN STASH and #11 PROMISE KEEPER become more important. The Joseph runners can move way up(#2 #6 #7), and #5 BOCA BOY enters the mix.
RACE 12 wow--all look nice on paper--no clue at this time OFF TURF #2 BOURBON ROYALE, #4 TRANQUILLINA, #6 REINA DEL SOL, #10 YOUENS
rain??
good luck!

r2 - Going against the grain and picking # 2 Baydar, 2 for 2 at TB and at the distance. With a wet track hoping he get brave and goes wire to wire. #2 win , Backup exactas 3,6/2
r7 - #3 Crew Dragon, 3rd 9 lengths back of the #1 Winfromwithin 2 starts back, in a treadmill race where the 1 was able to dictate fractions of 25.1,49,1:12 and wire the field. Crew Dragon was rank going into the first turn in that race and never really settled and had nothing for the stretch run. he returned to win his next start squeezing through a small space after encountering traffic and looks to have figured this game out. Will hope he has improved some more . # 3 WP
r8 - #4 Last Promise 6 wins from 11 starts at TB , loves the track, ships up from GP with decent form , does shorten up but has won at the distance . #5 Minnesota Lucky, firing bullets, won off a layoff before , nice odds , & #7 Mr. Ankeny, 2nd off the layoff and slight drop in class to complete the ex box. #4 ,#5 win ex box 4,5,7
Good Luck

You guys are great company to be in! Good luck and good racing today! Johnny B.
And just like that, the forecast goes from swimming to damp. Welcome to Florida!
1st – Dini went from being so bad there was nothing to make a profile with, to #5 in the standings in 18 months, now Waz is saying, “if he can do it, I can do it”. The power of positive thinking? Perhaps, but like a maiden with 36 starts, if you hang around long enough, you finally find a bunch that can be beat. Hell, there’s even hope for Rick Creel now!
Spieth is 1-34 when not up for his bride. Urdaneta is 25% ITM with the bombs.
Pick 3 - 2,9/1,3/2,5,6,7 (12 bets)
2nd – Roberson (via Schisti) has no angle, but No Mercy Percy (1) went 122-104, above today’s par, two back. PP1 continues to underperform.
Crumb Bun (6) was beaten by two N3Ls in last and that’s why Panici doesn’t travel with.
Saver Trifectas 2,5/1,3/1,2,3,5 (8 bets) if alive in the Pick 3
4th – TURF ONLY - Niceno went 105-103 in last today's par is 99-99) and was going well late. Delacour is 22 & 56 with his angle but must be the favorite or IV drops to 0.48. Stormy D (1) meets our 3+3 condition (69% of all N1X wins). Kevin likes Oliver, but 2-31 with L4-8s here? I’ll take my chances…
Exacta Key Box 10/1,7 if 10 is the favorite, otherwise
Trifectas 1,7,10/1,2,7,8,10/1,2,7,8,10
5th – Pletcher is 40 & 76 here with the L1-3 + S + RB + UC angle. Wilkes outperforms with all his singles and Churchill shippers historically have an IV of 1.56.
$10 Exactas 2,3/4
$15 DDs 2,3/3
6th – Diaz Jr. jumps for the 1, giving Alvarado Jr. his first mount for Stidham at the meeting and a chance to shine. Dreaming of Gerry (3) went 7 better than par in last and his %E is right in the zone for a successful Stretchout. Stidham has a 33 & 50 angle here with Plain StRs.
Conditional $50 Win 3 for 8/5
$100 Weighted DDs 3/3,6,9
7th – When national leaders, have solid profiles here in Tampa, you generally have a good thing going. Mott is 64% ITM here with Stretchouts on < 90 days rest and he’s 33 & 57 with Rightbacks. Weaver is 39 & 72 in 18 tries with his angle. Bush has made two starts here in L5T. One was the Tampa Bay Stakes winner Get Smokin, the other was the 2017 Florida Oaks winner, Fifty Five.
Exacta Box 3,6,9 or
Saver Trifectas 4,10/3,6,9/3,4,6,9,10 if alive in the DD to cover
8th – Arnett is 8-19 Win with the Dropdown + Stretchout and 14-19 ITM. Must key the action here. Last Promise (4) was well above par twice last winter. Sharp recent work and Camacho up, hint at intentions. Arriagada is 33 & 60 with his angle, gotta believe Juan will be trying too.
Exacta Key Box 7/4,6 and Saver Trifectas 7/2,10/4,6
9th – Delacour is 33% Win here. Walsh (who capped my $8299 Pick 4 score last month) has an AEPS of $25K in these Graded Stakes. Money talks. Brown has a UCE here and he’s finally wising up to Doctor No and puts him up on the one without a chance.
Exacta Box 1,4,8
Pick 3 - 1,4,8/2/All (36 bets)
10th – Pletcher is 39 & 70 here. Jouster (2) gets our action off flawless turf performances.
Win 2
Saver Pick 3 – 3,6,10/4,6,9,11/3,4,6,12 (48 bets) to cover if alive in the Pick 3
11th – This race causes some ambivalence. Mr. Jamaican Magic has a triple UCE and a $43.5K AEPS in Graded Stakes. I took a look at his UCEs at GP and damn, he’s 37 & 77 with them in 2020-2021. Pletcher is 20-22 ITM with his UCEs with 12 wins. Avila is no slouch in Graded Stakes on the dirt either, with an AEPS of $48,174. Helium (10) is very rare on Earth (5 ppm), but one of the most common elements in the universe (23%). How did this one get it’s name? If Casse is the top choice, he’s sure to get a piece.
An all button a day, keeps regrets away (if you’re pockets are deep and you can make a single in the Pick 4)
All (see R9)
12th – Motion tips his hand for us here. He’s 1-39 now with Non-shipping L1-3s, so toss Lisheen (7). He’s 33% Win with UCEs, automatically upgrading the other, Turning Point (12). Mott is soft with FTSs, so he also points us to the other, Reina Del Sol (6).
$5 Trifecta Box 3,4,6,12 ($72)

She'll have to fend off former JolyB Stables claimer #6- Crumb Bun which looks to be rounding back into form, surprised the jockey doesn't come with her. Result: 4,1,3 Movie Moxy didn't care for the Tampa surface at all, never lifted a hoof until it was too late. Winner, Amber Paradise ($9.20), won for the second time in as many starts in 1:21 4/5, Nations has a good one.Race 4- Alw31250N1X f&m 4up 8.5F turfPerhaps #3- Global Brand can finally put it all together today against this uninspiring bunch. Result: 10,9,5 Niceno ($5.20) never looked like the winner until she got her nose down on the wire. Global Giant had to tap on the brakes going down the backstretch, Castanon had too much to do after that, could only close for fifth.Race 5- Challenger S. (GIII) 100K 4up 8.5F Finally gets GIII status and they can only attract a field of five, smh. Pace vs. Class, as Pletcher speedball #3- War Stopper tries to steal it from #2- Last Judgment which outclasses them all on paper. Result: 2,5,3 Predicting pace-scenarios is often tougher than winners. Last Judgment ($4.80) went straight to the front while War Stopper veered right at the start, almost unseating Saez, who went to Plan B. Fast track today, with winner's time one-fifth off track record.
Race 7- Columbia S. (Listed) 75K 3yo 8F turfThis is a competitive affair for lightly-raced horses with promising futures. Result: 1,3,10 Winfromwithin ($5.40) breaks the long-standing track record for a mile with a wire-to-wire score for Pletcher/Saez. Mott & Maker take the rest of the minor awards with the usual "out-of-town" plundering of the purse money in stakes. Race 9- Hillsborough S. (GII) 225K f&m 4up 9F turfAnnually the best race on the card. Result: 11,10,7 Michelline ($11.20) had a good trip despite the wide draw, tipped out from the two path leaving the backstretch and hanging on until the wire, with seven horses bunched within two lengths at the end. Race 11- Tampa Bay Derby (GII) 400K 3yo 8.5FAll over #8- Hidden Stash in this one. Fast closing third in Sam Davis S (GIII), switches back to Bejarano who's won the two times he sat on him, this is not the deepest field ever for this race. TW

The Florida Oaks
There's some speed in the race and the class of the speed in Jouster 2/1. Note that two back he broke her maiden by 8 lengths door-to-door. Last race she won an OC75 door-to-door but she was 6 lengths up on the field at the stretch call but only won by 2 lengths. The comment like said “tired”. There are a couple of fillies in here that might want to test her early.
Oyster Box 4/1 – With only 2 races to handicap leaces a lot of room to extrapolate with. In both races she ran a couple lengths behind the leaders then made a move down the stretch and won both of them. If she runs that same race here I think she'll win.
Domain Expertise 3/1 – almost broke her maiden first out at SAR but settled for the Place. Mr Brown made he second effort at Pim in a $150k listed stakes where she got out first and led for the first half mile; then she “gave way” and finished last. She broke her maiden at Tam then tried a G3 at GP, finishing third. She won at Tam but couldn't anywhere else. I'm wondering if she's just not going to be good enough against the likes of Jouster.. Think I'll take a pass on her today.
There are a few in here that might qualify as longshot material and in that vane I'll take Hindsight 15/1. Her two races (2-1-1-0), while not spectacular showed she was willing and capable to keep going all the way. I also like that Bejarano is still sticking with her.
Jouster looks like the winner but at only 2/1 I have to go with the Oyster.

Late to the party but was heavy Micheline in the Hillsborough but tabbed with Miss Teheran in the exacta so no luck.
Like Domain Expertise with Mia Martina in the Oaks
With others on Hidden Stash and may try to sneak Moonlite Strike in the exacta as he is better than his last where he has trouble.

I don't play any tracks except Oaklawn meet because of the value. already they had two 50cent trifectas that paid 1,034 and $3,687....if you get to know the track, jockey and trainers and are a longshot player, I highly suggest playing there.

DRF reporting this morning it is very likely TB Derby winner Helium goes straight to the KY Derby next, no other prep. So a colt with 3 total starts, 2 on AW, and one 3yo two-turn start now goes to the big one off an 8 week layoff? Yikes, how times have changed

Was hidden stash credited with a timed workout during the post parade? That horse is a running fool.
Helium might be worth an animal kingdom type bet. Forgotten off a long layoff, strong move in the turn, turfy horses like the surface at churchill....
