R2- 1m4f (Handicap) (Turf) (3yo+ 90-108)
#2- Away He Goes (5-1) was a fine third to Walton Street here last month in what may turn out to be a key race. Trapped at the back of the field on the fence, he was angled out through traffic, saw daylight, and finished best of all. Has only missed the board once over good ground. Big chance today. #3- Al Dabaran (8-1) lightly-raced Godolphin 4yo hasn't been out since September at Haydock. Appleby tried him as a stayer last season, and he was a distant third in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot. Six of seven starts on testing ground, only win was on good. Draws widest of all. Expecting a good run, but should be even better for today's run next out. #4- Star Safari (4-1) had a nice win here one year ago going 10F, then resurfaced last month and ran a good third to Ya Hayati in a similar handicap. Stretches out today, Buick sticks, needs to find a few lengths but that's quite likely. #12- Brilliant Light (8-1) is another Godolphin which has been progressive in his five starts, including a fourth just behind Star Safari last out. Would not be surprised by a big effort from him today.

R3- 1m1½f Meydan Trophy (Conditions) (Turf) (3yo)
#3- Leopardo (3-1) didn't care for dirt in last, son of Cairo Prince tries turf for the first time, not out of this. #4- Mystical Dawn (4-1) won his only start going a mile on turf at Newmarket last fall, but pilot Buick bails out for another. Still think this is one to watch going forward. #5- Secret Protector (9-5) has run twice at 7F on AW at Kempton, running third, then winning impressively by 4+ lengths. KEESEP purchase for $800K, War Front out of a Galileo mare. I'm thinking he'll enjoy the grass. #7- Final Thought (6-1) filly just missed at a mile on the turf at Yarmouth, then broke her maiden next out on AW at today's distance. Finished third to super-filly Soft Whisper going 7 panels on dirt here in January, then finished up the track stretched to two turns on dirt. I think this daughter of Sea The Stars will relish getting back to grass today, and could pull off a big surprise.
EX- 5,7/3,4,5,7
R4- 1m1½f Al Maktoum Challenge Rd2 (Group 2) (Dirt) (3yo+)
#4- Dubai Warrior (6-1) has been prepped beautifully by John Gosden for this, just needs to take to the dirt surface. Getting Frankie up is a bonus but will cut the price in half at least. #5- Firnas (15-1) may not class up to some of these, but he is a proven C&D winner in excellent form and deserves this opportunity.
EX- 3,4/3,4,5,9,10
R5- 1m1f Al Rashidiya (Group 2) (Turf) (3yo+)
As much as I enjoyed watching #1- Lord Glitters (5-2) storm home from last to first in the GII Singspiel S. last time, I'm not sure a repeat is in the cards. There was a very hot pace in that race which set him up perfectly for his run. Not sure we'll see anything like that today, may be much more tactical this time. He certainly is one who appreciates races beyond a mile, as not many of this group do. Danny Tudhope is in the irons. #7- Zakouski (5-2) is where I'm going to land. He ran a winning race in the Singspiel only to have Lord Glitters slice his way through the field without a straw in his path on his way to a three-length victory. Gets three pounds from that one. Lightly-raced 5yo loves the local course, Buick returns in the saddle and will have eyes in the back of his head keeping tabs on his gray foe. #5- Dream Castle (7-2) picks up Frankie for this race, likes the course and distance, was second in this race last year. Maybe #2- Bless Him (10-1) can have a more alert start today and find a few lengths from his fifth in the Singspiel. Jockey upgrade to Crowley, gets blinkers on.
EX- 7/1,2,5
R6- 5f (Handicap) (Turf) (3yo+ 90-100)
Head-scratcher trying to figure out who is in form, wants to go this short, and wants turf. #1- Caspian Prince (3-1) is a 12yo with a career record of 106/21-8-12. That alone deserves our admiration, and he would become a millionaire (USD) with a win today. Close up fifth last time to Equilateral, should be better for that run, drops in class, gets Danny Tudhope aboard and should be right there. #4- Mutaraffa (5-1) was second in the Equilateral race, logical contender dropping down today. Would love to see #6- Acclaim the Nation (20-1) return to form as he brought up the rear first time over this course. Will use underneath just in case he rebounds in blinkers today.
EX- 1,4/1,3,4,5,6
Good luck today if you play!
