Remake of the classic BBC series debuts on PBS tonight. Based on the life of James Herriot, a young veterinarian and his adventures on the Yorkshire farms in the 1930’s.
If you are a fan of the original series this looks very true to it but with more impressive scenery as it was shot on location in Yorkshire. If you haven’t seen the original I’m sure you will enjoy this.
Have never seen it but will check it out! Surely the Badactor is familiar with this. The only actor I was familiar with in this trailer was Dianna Figg from The Avengers I believe. Amazes me how much I don't know about actors. Thanks, Rob, love PBS!
As a fan of the earlier series I wasn't sure what to expect. All in all it was quite well done. It certainly captured the beauty of the Dales. As so often happens with any redo, I expected the characters to be the same as in the original and will need some time to get used to the current ones. Mrs. Hall didn't play such a significant role in the earlier series as she does here, but her character is well played. Looking forward to the next episode.
