Going to pay more attention to FG this winter, especially their turf racing. Opening Day card has a nice sequence R6-R9.

I was there about twenty years ago.It was depressing.The grandstand was just steel girders and concrete platforms.They had a couple big tents for the windows but mostly for the video poker.There was a scandal involving the VP which was supposed to fund the reconstruction.The VP machines were very busy hard to find an open one.Didn't bother me I was there for the races.I watched races from the rail with about 30 other people.No BS,no fans.IIRC I won that day.Still miss the outstanding race calls by Tony Bentley. I like Manny Wah in the Classic.

Chad has 24 stalls there this meet. The track also granted stalls for a division for trainer Chad Brown, but he altered plans and recently informed Fair Grounds he will not have a string there, Jones said.

I am the worst/unluckiest horizontal-wager player in the country, but I'll try two pick-3s at FG in R6-8 & R7-9, in addition to triple wagers in each of the four races.
FG R6- Whichever horse Sharp runs, I won't be using. Proxy draws the rail, but faced a weak group and soft fractions first time out. I'll let him beat me. Correas, Walsh colts had "meh" races against lesser. A little worried by Go West, which faced a solid sprint pace last time, but they finished slow and race came back as weak. #6- Big Lake (7-2) will probably be favored, two good 7F tries but bled last time, gets FTL and should improve at two turns. #7- Plucky Strike (8-1) is actually the Stidham horse that I prefer, was slow into stride, steadied in behind at the 4, swung wide into the stretch and made a mild bid. Two turns should allow him time to get his legs underneath him, must break alertly though. Kinetic Sky crossed the line first but was rightly DQed for coming out in the stretch, spoiling a win for sire Runhappy (standing at Claiborne Farm). Race came back very weak, he'll take $$ based on Brad Cox's #s, but I'll bet against him too.
Using 6,7 in Pick-3s
Tri- 6/2,5,7/All
{Update: all races off the turf. Big Lake scratched from Race 6. See what I mean about luck? CD has some races later on. I'll look at that instead.}
