That's a 1973 song by Bob Dylan penned for Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid soundtrack. You can find bootleg recordings of it on the internet.

Hoop, I remember our conversation in Saratoga last year about the origins of the song. Had me googling about it. Here’s the original released “finished” version by Old Crow Medicine Show.

my favorite version of the song for the series I worked with, we booked Gillian Welch and David Rawlings(both cameo in this video) for an evening. They contacted us the week of the show, asking if we would pay an extra $500 to have a new group Old Crow Medicine Show open for them(they were touring together). We trusted them, and ok'ed the deal. This was quite a few years ago. A group of very scruffy kids came on stage and tore in to a high energy version of their type of folk/bluegrass, and didn't let up until they finished. Absolutely blew everyone away.....followed by the headliners who took the evening to an even higher level. Maybe on the short list of 30 years of shows featuring a mind-blowing array of talent(many just starting) covering every genre. My mentor and the series founder retired, and Covid ended the series just this year.
It has evolved in to this tour:

Read more at the Wikipedia page below: Nice info about Dylan writing the chorus and melody. Years later Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show wrote verses for the song around Dylan's original chorus (and melody). He'd been singing it for a while before he figured he needed to look into the rights.
