SAR 6- #1- Jazzique was a good third to Xanthique on seasonal debut in a solid N1X. Saves all the ground and should progress another forward move today. #5- Taranta (sounds like a guy from Brooklyn talking about the Blue Jays 🙂) is interesting in the “why is he here” kinda way. Big closing rush to just miss at LAD, she had fine 2yo form in France last year.

Seeing Ian reminds me of a nice yarn.I was sitting in my chair in the back yard oh about 3 or 4 years ago.I'm giving my opinion to anyone who would listen.I blurted out "this horse is trained by Ian Wilkes.....is a real good trainer.Unbeknonwst to me he was talking to a NYRA person right infront of me.When he was done exchanging phone numbers with the NYRA dude,he turned to me with a big smile, held out his hand and said "thanks". Boy I miss that place.

SAR 9- Going down swinging. Halladay has been a machine, improving every race since his debut. Hopefully the Chads take money, I’m not using either. This distance is just too short for Olympic, and Good Governance hasn’t seen a solid graded-stakes pace yet. Time for Irad to ride poorly when I’m not using him, too 😜

I know he’s only raced twice, and looked a bit green in upper stretch when he was first asked, but Happy Saver should definitely be considered for...a stakes race next. Once he leveled off he just flew home, geared down at the end. Final eighth in 0:11.6 after looking lost at the 3/16th.

Nice call Doc!
If you don't mind sharing...what made you really like him? I had tossed for several reasons, turf has not been very nice to speed, didn't see him as getting an easy lead like he did for the opening half, and in retrospect didn't give him as much class credit as he deserved. Tyler back on sure helped too.

Forgo,to find the answer you have to visit my site. Super Horse and Pro picks.com with FREE Dox Lox Pic O' Day. But seriously, your last line was one factor,I like Tyler.I picked him in his last and thought there was enough there to go back to him.Not to mention the price, obviously a huge overlay. GL&BTW speed IS good on the turf especially on the inner.

Thanks for getting back Doc. It was a nice hit.
Speed horses and those laying closest to the lead really haven't been fairing all that well going a mile or more, inner or outer. They've held on some to hit the board but most of the winners having been coming from off and well off the pace. The Baruch was just the second wire to wire winner on the turf in 18 races of 1 mile or longer on the inner and 7 on the outer. One of my big reasons for downgrading him along with Halladay.
Going shorter at 5.5f is a different story on the outer, you can win from off it but those laying closer have been visiting the winner circle more frequently.
