I liked him a lot. I picture him ripping down a rebound an passing the ball with 2 hands over his head half to 3/4 court to a streaking teammate for an easy score.

Much respect for Wes the player and man from me. I'll always remember his battles in the '70's with my Celtic center Dave Cowens. Good stuff.

As a kid, I clearly remember my father officiating a much heralded matchup of freshman teams(remember them and 3year eligibility?) from Louisville(,Unseld+ butch beard) vs a loaded university of Dayton class. Louisville won, with both teams scoring over 100. Old UD Fieldhouse was packed. Wes Unseld was a man among boys even then.

Class act who could dominate the inside, my memories are from what my Dad said about him. I do have his rookie basketball card! RIP big guy.
