3:55- 1m EBF Maiden Stakes (Class 5) (3yo)
HM The Queen just had an impressive winner in First Receiver, who popped right out of the gate to lead them all the way around while widening late. Margin seemed to be about 8 lengths. Sir Michael Stoute trained, Ryan Moore had the mount. This is one to be reckoned with at Royal Ascot in two weeks. Nice horse.

5:05- 1m4f Handicap (Class 5) (4yo+) (0-72)
This one seems like a good spot to get started. #8- Singing the Blues (7-1) has a cracking AW record (10/3-2-1) and owns a win over the course. Consistent sort gets Oisin Murphy in the saddle today. #7- Hackbridge (20-1) had a second over C&D last March, also sports a good AW record. #11- Ned Pepper (8-1) is a lightly-raced 4yo. His two AW races at the end of last season suggest that he should fit nicely here. #12- Secretario (10-1) had a win on AW going a bit shorter in March. Lifetime record (15/4-1-2) says he's a competitive one.
EX- 8,11/7,8,11,12 PL- 7 Result: 12,5,8 #12- Secretario ($14.00) was indeed competitive, and looked like the beneficiary of recent racing form as he burst from the pack to win handily. #8- Singing the Blues seemed to be in tight quarters for much of the running but did produce a late run to nail down third. #7- Hackbridge was too far back to make any impact but ran through the wire for a mid-pack finish, might be one to watch next out.
