Starting the day with the 3rd Santana/asmussen rate turf play #7 War Film—off since a late run in the American Derby @ AP where he was a respectable 5-1. Also close in the American Turf @ CD. Straight maiden win @ Kee, followed by a late running optional $50k @ FG.
Also using bomb #1 Sun Lover because I always play him—still waiting for a huge effort at huge price.
6th Colebrooks’s #2 Sister Hanan lost all chance in last vs much better, and has always fired on the lawn. Hoping that she gets up in time, though not in love with Lanerie on turf. Been waiting for her return.
8th Colebrook again with #5 Club Car— with a decent break and clean trip, should be better than these. Calhoun’s #9 Dos Vinos might be worth a look off the lay-off.
9th Small play on Mott’s # Chaleur who has competitive back class and has had enough tune over here to get ready. shug is due to pop at at price, and #8 War Cabinet could surprise. #11 Mighty Scarlett from Correas is always there and has a shot—he trains our 5yo maiden.

Mr.Ramsey got it done first try today—at my expense. Should have figured that he would drop a few in cheap for a better shot. For the last couple of years, I have sat next to him on Derby weekend + he is related to one of my best friends. I like the guy, and I can picture his family celebrating together. Congratulations!

Looking at #7 also off the pedigree. Tough spot for fits though. Why not Chad’s #12 who has already finished first once(first time off the break)?

Ugh Thought the 9th was very wide open Played a 5-runner Xbox that included the 3 and 6(always watch big odds lopresti runners on turf in Ky)
Had a small win on 9 in 8th but larger on 5 and needed them 1-2
Hoping to end it the right way with 5 in 10th
Tomorrow....

Big hit for someone deservedly.
Was happy with my handicapping yesterday—a little too aggressive late in races where I wasn’t as confident—-ending up a few $$ short from where I started(familiar story)

Yes, a very happy Memorial Day for someone. There were 4 horses to complete a scoop, wonder if they were all on the same ticket.
