caveat - the track will be sloppy!
R1 #4 J's Warrior had one race last year in mid summer and looked terrible. This is his 2nd career race and there's been some changers made. Now he's a gelding and hopefully that fixed what ever was wrong with him. He's now on dirt and will we wearing blinkers. Something else caught my eye – his workout on April 23rd. over the Belmont training track. He went :46-3/5, a bullet work – fastest of 1/77. When I look at works over any training track I assume that if that work had been over a regular race track that work time would have been 5 to 10 lengths faster. Assuming that's true then that work time was equal to real race times and one of the angles I learned 40 or 50 years ago is if a horse trains as fast as real race time he's a real threat in the next race. He'll be a long shot Saturday and I think he should be a serious consideration, at lease in the exotics.

Good luck bobtail!
Sloppy just got my attention and is a concern because I did not handicap for it
Starting with an ambitious p5 pw 4-5-6/3-4-6-9/3-4-11-12/2/2-7-10-11 Followed by a p4 3-4-5-9/3-4-11-12/2-7/2-7-10-11
Well —3 out in 2nd and 2-12 out in 5th + off turf
So first wager becomes a p3 Second wager tbd

Like Bernie Flint’s #6 in the 2nd + p4 pw 4-6-9/3-4-11-12/2-7/7-11 Like #18 in 5th Asmussen/Santana left out of p4!

I try to avoid days with changing track conditions. Hard to get info on what the crew is doing with the surface.

I try to avoid days with changing track conditions. Hard to get info on what the crew is doing with the surface. I'll say....went from sloppy sealed in the first to wet fast in the fifth, good in the sixth, fast in the seventh on.Looked like on or near the lead with GP shippers doing best.Today looks iffy, may be wet late.
